The latest Famitsu video game software and hardware charts have revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has reached a minor sales milestone as it has outsold the PlayStation 5 model with a disc drive. Famitsu counts sales for separate models and while it hasn’t outsold the base PlayStation 5 console i.e both the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and PlayStation 5 Disc Drive Model combined, it has overtaken sales of the PS5 (Disc Drive Model) with Nintendo Switch 2 selling 5,940,500 units and PS5 (Disc Drive Model) selling 5,920,682.

Only 260 people bought a ps5 this week in japan? That seems really low.
Sony hasn’t been popular in Japan for a long time..
As for Microsoft, I read that they were going to raise the price of the Series X in July and that’s going to hurt….
But I’d really like to hear Nintendo’s critics with their nonsense, ‘The Switch 2 doesn’t sell here, there are tons of them in stores!!”
Wait the Switch 2 sold more than 2 times the xbox and ps5 across all variants combined this past week? Nearly 3x the numbers combined
