Nash Weedle, who admittedly has a spotty track record when it comes to leaks, but has apparently got a few things right including the Nintendo Direct date, is back. Weedle said in a new video that Nintendo is planning to finally bring The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to the Nintendo Switch 2. He suggests it would be a revised version of the Wii U game with a few new bells and whistles, though he doesn’t elaborate on this. You may be wondering what happened with the long rumoured Switch port of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker? Well Nash says that one is in limbo. Here’s a machine translation:
“Zelda: Twilight Princess — (until not so long ago) I hadn’t heard anything about it, but it seems that a new version could arrive at some point.”
“I mentioned some time ago that I wasn’t expecting either Wind Waker or Twilight Princess if they couldn’t add something extra to them, and now with the Switch 2, that’s possible. As for Twilight Princess, I’ve received some fairly strong rumors that it’s on the way. As for Wind Waker, it seems to have remained in limbo.”

Aw man. I’ve been wanting to replay WW and the HD version is the superior one.
Maybe they’re saving it for one of the final releases for Switch 1… kinda like when they randomly decided to do Luigi’s Mansion 1 at the end of the 3DS life.
It would be smart to do those rereleases like the 3ds did. They are easy to do and are often needed at times. I am personally hoping for a kid icarus uprising port.

Nash is not a reliable leaker
This is really cook if it is true. But, I have my Wii U still and I have WW and TP both on it along with Breath of the Wild. Three solid reasons to have a Wii U still.
Maybe we’ll at least see Twilight Princess added to the NSO GameCube application? This year is its 20th anniversary, maybe they’ll do that in celebration if TPHD or a newer edition isn’t planned?
I have no idea how much effort it would take to put it on NSO, but I wonder if it’s a priority now with sudden competition from Dusklight.
I have never played this. It is one of the few TLOZ games I missed. Would greatly appreciate a chance to try it.

doesn’t make too much sense. TP started as a OoT remake and grew to be something similar yet different. Still it scratches the same itch and I don’t believe Nintendo would do that next to the OoT remake. Maybe a year later.
Twilight Princess is, currently, considered to the THE quintessential Zelda game so bringing it to more consoles is practically a no-brainer. Sure, OoT remake is coming out, but they are fundamentally different things despite one borrowing from the other.
And, again, if one of their objectives is to better link both games (like the manga did), it’s even easier to understand why they’d do so. I, for one, wouldn’t complain because it means they could give Majora’s Mask the same treatment and even do something with the TP manga (which is way better than most stuff that comes out nowadays).
It would make sense to bring over because that’s the only 3d Zelda game not of switch yet. I keep hearing good things about it and I want to try it, but I want to try the GameCube or Wii U versions and those are hundreds of dollars.
