The acclaimed developers at Toys for Bob, who are currently busy beavering away at the potentially promising Spyro: A Realm Beyond, have been asked if they have ever talked about working on a new Banjo-Kazooie game. A new Banjo-Kazooie game was the most requested game from Xbox fans so someone has presumably got to start working on it. Toys for Bob said it would be “amazing” if they were given the chance and that they are all “huge fans” of the series. Here’s what Toys for Bob studio head Paul Yan and associate creative director Lou Studdert had to say:
“It’s a franchise we love,” Studdert continued. “As platformers, as platformer fans, Banjo’s the top of the heap. We have huge, huge fans of that franchise on our staff. You know, I’m talking they have the Jiggy as their profile pic, that sort of thing, that level of fan.”
“If an opportunity ever arose, that’d be amazing, but we love the franchise.”
“If you look at the throughlines of the types of games that we like to make, I can imagine that’s part of that stable as well,” Yan continued. “Like those characters, you know, I think you described as nostalgic. I think that’s one way of looking at them. I think of them as timeless.”

That would be amazing if it happened. Maybe remake the first two games in a bundle like the crash and spyro games would be a day 1 buy for me.
Toys for bob would be perfect for a new banjo game. They make excellent reboots and remakes of 3d platformers. Let’s hope for a safe future for the bear and bird.
Never played a BK game. The N64 stuff doesn’t look like anything special as far as gameplay. I’m sure people like it for a reason that doesn’t jump out at me
It’s never gonna happen, Microsoft HATES Banjo.
I was happy and getting ready to make a WordPress account. I am extremely disappointed that the site went back on the move of removing the ability to use any email address including fake email addresses, to leave a comment. Everyone seemed very positive and accepting of the move. But You want to apparently let that troll who has been harassing the site for over a year and chasing visitors off along with any other possible troll to keep being able to do so. I’m done.
I just saw the comment about the bug on mobile devices and why you opened back up to letting anybody comment. I still can’t even let myself use an actual name here though because I know that person will just take and abuse it though like he does with others.
Wait what bug? I can comment fine right now. I haven’t seen the troll in a while, hopefully that problem was fixed.
I have tried banning him so many times 😞 Hopefully WordPress get a fix for the log-in bug on mobile platforms as I would normally advise making an account then it’s yours and you can customise it etc.
@Mr. Frost when it was log-in only some people couldn’t log-in via browser on iOS. I spent a while talking to WP support and we replicated the issue and it needs a fix.
Not tried hard enough Sickr my boy ;)
What troll?
Don’t beat yourself up SickR. It must be hard to run this comment section. You’re doing the best you can, and I appreciate all the work you do. It’s nice to have a small website where I can talk to people about things I love. Keep up the good work and best of luck that you will get this problem fixed.
Cheers! 😊👍
I know deep down this franchise will never get any new games made or at least a remake but I’m hoping Nintendo takes a hint a buy the IP back from the Grimm Reaper of video games aka Microslop.
Nintendo won’t buy back the IP back from Microsoft, at that point they’d just make their own IP with a BK-like style so they can take it in the direction they want to, though even this would not likely happen because they don’t want to make an IP that’ll be instantly compared to someone else’s (basically I’m saying that Nintendo doesn’t make spiritual successors the way third party companies might do for Nintendo IPs)
do remakes
Your not the only one
