Nintendo Australia has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be making its way down under on November 24th. Europe will be getting the game first on November 18th followed by North America on November 20th and Japan November 23rd. Hope everyone’s already started pre-ordering as the 25th Anniversary bundle is limited edition!
Wait… we get it first, while Japan and America get it AFTER us? The world I know no longer exists.

That’s the last straw for me. This site’s already pretty terrible. Always drawing inept inferences from quotes and all the rest of it. And Sickr has now stated at least twice at time of posting that he considers this unimportant, even though it’s the only reason I’ve been checking this lane arse site for the last two months.

Yep third this. Old news is old. Also shipping = delays so this is to be expected Since I’m sure nintendo doesn’t print disks here but over in Europe.
The majority of news publications have just posted this news today. I suppose they’re all suffering from lack of news. Hopefully something exciting will pop up later!

If a game is developed in Japan, It should release first there.
If a game is developed in NOA it should release there first.
Recently some games developed in NOA are releasing in Europe 2 weeks before being released in NOA.
Really, being a Gamer in Europe must really rock right now.

The game releasing in Europe a day or 2 earlier isn’t a major thing. Not sure why they don’t just do a global release on the same day.
Personally, I’ve exams the week after the release anyway, so will wait and pick it up the day the exams finish (realistically the day after… hungover probably)
Europe got Minish Cap first too, I believe… Possibly one of the DS ones also? Don’t quote me on that one though. But yeah, usually Europe has to wait behind USA/Japan. I feel really sorry for Australian gamers though – They ALWAYS get the games last. >_<
It’s better than it has been though. I consider within a month to be reasonable, if not ideal. A couple of weeks is good. I’ve heard of games by supposedly reputable companies which never got an official release in Australia.

I think the reason so many publishers/developers are releasing their games in Europe first lately is because of the shift in western games. The majority of them are in Europe or do their main business in Europe. Zelda games usually do better outside of Japan, so it’s no wonder that they get it later. The American continent (not just the US) usually sells better though, especially with these big titles.
