Team Ninja’s Fumihiko Yasuda and Yosuke Hayashi have told Gamefront that the Wii U is extremely easy to develop for and is very similar to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in that respect. Hayashi also went on to say that the Wii U hardware is constantly changing.
“Nintendo asked us what we would want from the hardware. And when we gave them our feedback, we could see that they really listened and made changes. The hardware is currently changing constantly.”
“The control via a touch screen is like the Nintendo DS, we worked on the NDS with Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, and we would like to take some elements from it and install them in the U Wii version of Ninja Gaiden 3.”

primero lero lero!!
i hope they make another metroid game for wii u or 3ds with a little bit of the old metroid formula, 2d but 3d multiplayer.
maybe! u_u
It would be better if Team Ninja stayed away from Metroid.
Leave it to the pros at Retro Studios.
Why? they made a great job with Other M
That’s debatable. Retro made a fantastic series of games.
I have to disagree.I loved Super Metroid and all the ones on GBA,didn’t mind Metroid Prime, and was completely disappointed with Other M.Other M should have been like Super Metroid with better graphics but everything from dialogue to shooting sucked.
Even though I liked Other M, I’ll have to agree with you.
No.
Other M >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Prime
….please tell me you are joking.
Correct, Other M is at the bottom and the arrows pointing to Prime with such a large degree. In terms of greater than, it’s Prime > Other M. Usually only one > is used for greater than, with >> meaning arrows.
They failed horribly for metriod other m. team ninja sucks they should let pixel do metriod cave story was epic and I cried when I finnally saved Brace after I kept letting her die drowning. :’D
Lero lero candelero
That sounds awesome and a half! I cannot wait for the Wii U!
I see that Team Ninja have confidence in Nintendo. I have a feeling that they’ll have Ninja Gaiden III: Razor’s Edge (a follow-up to the original III) ready at launch for the U.
I like that people in the industry are saying Wii U is easy to develop for. Please don’t develop a bunch of online fps, nintendo. Be better than the rest.
Agreed!
If they make something similar to CoD: No.
If they make something similar to Metroid Prime, Bioshock, HL2, or TF2: Yes!
Nintendo doesnt make the developing decisions for 3rd Party devs. Plus, if nintendo can come up with a shooter that gets atleast half of the CoD population, why wouldnt you want them to do it? it just might be the next big thing, make millions for nintendo, and shut up all those doubters.
Remember, Nintendo has CoD. Several of them. So with WiiU, they will have FPS like everyone else, like they always have.
However, it won’t be their primary game type as it is for xBox/PS3. It’s not that we should hope they don’t have FPS… They’ve ALWAYS had FPS’s, it’s that we hope they don’t become reliant on them.
Cod outsold all other wii titles. Besides Id rather have a fps than shitload os shovelware and wii music and miyamotos recent epic fail the vitality sensor. Besides nintendo going after the hardcore market.
“Cod outsold all other wii titles.”
I hope you are joking
because :
wii sport
wii play
wii sport resort
NSMBWII
mario kart
wii fit
all sold more then any CoD Game
Personally, I think PS3 revolves more around adventure/action. It’s the 360 controller that’s practically designed for the sake of CoD.
I hope the Wii U will revolve around a variety of genres like the PC.
I’m so excited for the U Wii!
^This!
^This,
U Wii possible name change? Hmmmm…..
Sweet hopefully this will help convinced other developers to make games to Wii U.
It seems like the developers love the Wii U. I posted this on a previous thread but would like to hear what you guys think of this:
“I think Nintendo should sign an exclusivity with Namco to have all of their “Tales of” games appear only on Nintendo platforms.”
+999999999999
this would be a reacurring wet dream.
Probably not going to happen lol.
Ah, that would be a dream come true.
Personally, given Nintendo’s lack of RPG’s, I think they should go to Namco and help them port Tales of Vesperia’s PS3 version over to the Wii U and bring it overseas. I mean, we never got the good version of Vesperia, only the X360 version that looks like a beta game compared to the PS3 version.
Getting Graces or Xillia wouldn’t hurt as well.
I remember when I first played Tales of Symphonia. I had never seen an rpg with a real time action battle system before and it blew me away. I have played alot of the Tales games since then.
I think the Tales series would be a great counter to the Final Fantasy series on the Playstation. And Nintendo is seriously lacking in rpgs.
Tales of symphonia Rulez!
Amen!
Yeah, it was neat to go from playing Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube and then continue the story on the wii with Tales of Symphonia:Dawn of the New World. Both awesome games. And lets not forget how bad ass Eternal Sonata is on the PS3, not the 360 version. The PS3 version has more content.Just another good Namco game.
Currently playing Eternal Sonata, that dragon in that Cementary is kicking my ass :(
Sometimes I almost wonder why Namco doesn’t try more to put Tales on the Nintendo systems.
Final Fantasy is pretty much a monopoly on the RPG genre on the playstation systems. In conctrast, there’s next to zero RPG contention on Nintendo systems. All there is is Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, and Paper Mario. We can only hope Xenoblade might be the start of a new series.
This will be my hope for the Wii U, that the dramatic increase in power might sway them over.
Your forgetting the Rune Factory games,Chocobo’s Dungeon,Baroque,Arc Rise Fantasia,Tale of Symphonia Dawn of the new world, and if you have a japanese console you can get Tales of Graces and The Last Story which are both awesome games as well.
I agree for most of those.
However, I don’t find games worth getting if I can’t understand the diologue, so Graces for Wii is out of the question.
I think it’s pretty obvious that the controller has gone through a massive re-design
I’d certainly let them develop another Metroid as long as it fixes up Other M issues. I was alright with it, it was fine if you skipped videos, but the station wasn’t hugely exciting and the game wasn’t long.
I hope that the Wii U will be the most amazing thing in the world when it shows up coz i’m mega excited for it at the moment.
Yeah Nintendo especially need some RPGs the best RPG game i played on a Nintendo console was Skies of Arcadia Legends a remake from Sega Dreamcast ported to the GC.
Tales of Symphonia says hello!
bhum,hfv mhhgnmlimhgfGRRRRRRRRRRëöôô!

I’m kind of skeptical about this, then why aren’t games like Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell: Blacklist coming to the Wii U? And if the developers are saying what they want from the hardware, how come the hardware seems pretty weak, and will most likely make the Wii U the Wii of the 8th gen? And how in fuck’s sake, are the games on the Wii U only 720p, ok, they might just get 1080p some time later, but why isn’t it 1080p now? Ok, the controller, why can’t they put in better hardware, people will gladly buy a 500$ Wii U, rather than a 700$ Nextbox/PS4, as I think that those console will have better hardware. I’m doubtful regarding the Wii U, I’m on the fence here, Nintendo, give me a reason to buy a Wii U, rather than wait a year or so, for a Nextbox/PS4.
