BAFTA has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has been nominated along with nine other games for the all-important Game of The Year award. The Game of The Year award is the only one of its annual video game awards that is selected by public vote. Here’s the ten games you can choose from:

The Skyward Sword by far is the best game there, its a masterpiece! Beautifully made, fits in with movies and adventures at the Baftas. All the same old bang bang shooting war and Fifa games are the same every year boringgggg!

Arkham is the only superhero game that deserves GOTY nominations… maybe Spiderman 2, too.
From the view of the game’s in terms of quality, creativity and lasting appeal, it should be between Skyrim, Skyward Sword and LA Noire, with Arkhangelsk (<– iPod auto correct) Arkham at a somewhat lesser extent.

i dont know, to me SS felt like every other zelda game but with motion controls. i hope the wii u zelda gets to be a little bit more western(open world,a lot of side quest but still having an amazing main quest, crafting system, etc), my opinion of course.

i thought the last 4 chapters were awesome on uncharted 3, the flipping boat, sky diving, even young drake was cool , but i feel like Uncharted 2 was better aswell.
in my opinion zelda was epic best and i played unchearted (the demo) and skyrim.

it’s almost saddening that FPS games, minecraft, or skyrim will likely get game of the year. MW3, aka MW1.5.2, was not that great (except survival mode), BF3 i don’t know much about but i expect it’s like any other FPS, minecraft has been around for awhile so i feel that it shouldn’t be eligible for more than one year (it was also UK’s pc GotY in 2010 i believe), and skyrim has more bugs than the amazon rainforest and has what is possibly the most annoying video game fanbase i’ve ever seen in my life (Well they used to be annoying, but then they took an arrow to the knee -SHOOTS SELF-). i want zelda to win, but i’d be ok if batman, LA noire, portal, or uncharted got it

I loved Skyward Sword! Sadly, I kind of thought the map was small and felt myself revisiting the same places a bit irritating, and after playing it I still think the best Zelda game is OoT/3D… And unlike biased Nintendo fanboys, I haven’t played any of the other games except Portal 2 so I can’t say it’s the best in the list, but I do think it deserves to be in the list. :)
I worked on Zelda in the translation team. It’s such a huge shame that it has just dropped off the map since it’s been released, considering how much work and time we all put into it. It would be really awesome if we could get a BAFTA…

As much as I want Skyward Sword to win… well, Skyrim was the first 100% Western videogame to get a perfect 40/40 from Famitsu. You can’t get an accolade like that without being the greatest thing ever.

My vote goes to Portal 2. I love Skyrim and got many hours of play time out of it, but its bugs were its downfall. Skyward Sword just hasn’t grabbed me, every time I go to play it, I can’t manage to play for more than 15 minutes before turning it off. Portal 2 on the other hand, in my mind, is a perfect game. I’ve beaten it 4 times within the first week I got it and each time was as good as the last.
