High street retail chain GAME has finally announced that it has filed for administration, but the company says it will continue to trade for the time being. MCV reported yesterday that GAME were going to close its GameStation stores and start a new company, but GAME told the publication that this wasn’t true. Time to use up your left-over rewards and gift cards people.
“Further to this morning’s announcement of the suspension of trading in shares of GAME Group plc, the board has concluded that its discussions with all stakeholders and other parties have not made sufficient progress in the time available to offer a realistic prospect for a solvent solution for the business.”

GAME was my go-to store for pre orders….I used to get them a day or two before release date. This is sad news!

Hopefully blockbusters will fill in for now, their only problem really is not getting as many of the recent titles as GAME used to.
