Assassins Creed 4 May Take Place Before Assassins Creed 3

Ubisoft producer Francois Pelland has told UK paper The Metro that it’s entirely possible that Assassins Creed 4 could take place before the events in Assassins Creed 3. Pelland says that due to the franchise being based on both lineage and DNA, the game has nothing to do with time, therefore the game could either take place before the American Revolution, or after it.

“It’s a question we’ve been getting a lot. It’s not a moving forward thing, it’s all based on lineage and on DNA and therefore it has nothing to do with time. The next game could easily go backwards as much as forward, no problem.”

    1. It means that he is looking to stop 1St fags, but in reality he is a Fag himself. Judge not lest ye be judged yourself is the moral, check the Bible bro.

  1. Makes sense. Too bad AC4 won’t be out for 3-4 years and we’ll have to deal with fillers until then :-/

    1. I get why you’d call it filler but I thought it was great to really see more of Ezio and Altair with Brotherhood and Revelations. I won’t lie, it did start to lose it’s luster towards the end but I still liked that they both got proper send-offs instead of just being dropped. And at least we’ll have SOMETHING to tie us over between the main games.

  2. really want to see some ancient egypt or china. WW2 could be cool though, and u got einstein as your da vinci/ben franklin

  3. Ancient Egypt would be perfect. Here’s the plot of the next AC game. The game takes place during Nazi Germany. The hero has to assassinate Hitler. They can work out the details, I just want the game to end with the hero sticking a dagger up Hitler’s ass, then decapitating him and putting his head on display in Berlin.

    Leave luck to heaven.

    1. Leave Luck to Heaven is the first full-length album by Detroit-based Matthew Dear, released under his birth name.

  4. Um, duh? Did anyone actually expect there was some linear progression of time going on here with the games? I just thought the series really was jumping to different time periods; if the series went back to the Stone Age in Assassin’s Creed 4, I wouldn’t be surprised or “up-in-arms” just because Ubisoft didn’t follow a fanboy’s inane wish for the series to obsessively stick to a chronological pattern born mostly out of coincidence rather than of any developer’s wish to make it such.

  5. I just don’t want the series to lose it’s luster.

Wasn’t the point of the series to tie up the 2012 thing? While I’d love to delve into more time-periods, I don’t want them being half-hearted about it.

  6. don’t they usually start rumors of a sequel AFTER a game is released? either, way, i’m looking forward to AC3. too bad I don’t have a ps3 or 360, but i do have a PC. i will least likely get a Wii U for christmas, but it will be the same price as a PS3( no not 599 us dollars). i’m looking forward to this new system, and since I have a Wii and a 3DS also, it will be fun. (also an nes, but it’s broken-ish. we’re getting a new nes)
