1001 Spikes Coming To Wii U And Nintendo 3DS eShop

Nicalis, the publisher behind indie classic Cave Story, has announced that it plans to bring 1001 Spikes to the Wii U eShop and the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The revamped game will be released later this year and will feature a multiplayer mode, new art, visuals and sound. 1001 Spikes will launch on Nintendo 3DS first with the Wii U version following hot on its heels.

  1. It’s great to see an independent publisher and developer making games for Nintendo’s consoles. They should have more of them to impress Triple-A publishers and developers.

  2. This is just an idea, but since were on the topic of 8-bit, what if Notch (the maker of Minecraft) released Minicraft for DS/3DS

        1. Maybe if the Wii U version had all the effects that Spoutcraft has. But I would love a portable Mincraft for the 3DS even more..

          1. the amount of time an average person spends playing minecraft wouldnt really work in a portable setting. but if they set it up so you have one copy that works with both the wii u and the 3ds and the 3ds uses streetpass to get items and such, then that would be pretty cool
