Celebrate The Year Of Luigi With His New Website

luigi_super_smash_bros_brawlMove over Mario, there’s a new star in town. Of course, it’s Luigi’s time to shine and take centre stage this year, and there’s no better way to do that than to have your own website.  Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo UK have together revealed Luigi’s own hub, a space where he can truly call home. He’s not only got away from his brother for a few short moments, but the website even shows off some of the games he’s been in or due to star in this year, like Luigi’s Mansion 2 and New Super Luigi U. Within time, the hub should add more ‘Luigi’ features, and we’re pretty sure that Luigi timeline will pop up again. You can view the website here in all its spectacular glory.

  1. yeah, what games has he had, 2. the year of luigi…. more like the year of no wii u games!!!!! come on shitendoesnt cant you do anything thats not a joke.

      1. what they do is have no games on their consoles, their crap to the last detail and have no chance but to burn and die to the superior ps4 and even the xbox one.

        1. kinda agree on Ps4, but not die, the Nintendo will keep there even with those there
but the moment you said X-Gone i immediately realized it was not worth giving interest

        2. dr evil confirmed top.

Wii U is a blast even with the games that are out right now. This time next year it’s going to top the sales charts due to the releases Nintendo has lined up for late 2013-2014. I bet you don’t even have a Wii U, let alone played any of the games out currently. Stay mad or get a job and buy one.

        3. Keep sucking on Sony’s dick you sad little fanboy scum. You come here knocking these Nintendo fans about having a kid’s toy and what do you want? A fucking PS4 KID’S TOY. Not man enough to handle a PC like a real grown-up?

        4. Xbot your system is done. The mess and nonsense that is xbox fron the very start 2001 was a mistake. It should never have entered gaming. Since microsoft joined I started hating nerds. Am a smart dude but street sense enough not to be a nerd and I dispised nerds and the wars the caused between them, sony and nintendo gamers. Nintendo Sells in all regions dummy, microsoft really thrived on America. Now that too is gone. Xdone. Luigi Mansion by the way is the highest selling game in total on the whole planet. Cry yourself a river LOL.

  2. Luigi’s year ended after the release of LM2.

There is no year of luigi, but, yes, he is 30 this year, it’s a shame that nintendo had to try and cash in on this. Can it, nintendo, nobody cares.

    1. Sure they are making money from this, but understand this, there are plenty of Luigi fans out there. They actually like this whole thing.

      1. Yep, I’m ecstatic about the year of Luigi. Can’t wait for New Super Luigi U, looking forward to picking up Dark Moon soon and every other game he’s appearing in that’s slated for release. I don’t see the shame in Nintendo dedicating a year to Luigi at all. As Titan said, plenty of people are enjoying it.

        1. Agreed, and if I had a 3DS I would be getting it as well. But fortunately, I’ll be getting one sometime.

    1. they literally just made a really long luigis mansion for 3ds, so either get that one or wait patently your choice

    1. LOL! I totally agree with you! My favorite of the four, and the most underrated. Despite people saying “he doesn’t make any sense”.

  3. Great, now where’s a new console Luigi IP? You realize you named it the Year of Luigi, but he’s only got one handheld game and one home console DLC (also available at retailer) pack as the Luigi games. Sure he’s in other stuff, but he shares the spotlight in all those other games, and heck, he’s asleep and you control Mario for a good portion of the Mario and Luigi game. So in the Year of Luigi, he’s really only the main character (in direct control of) in 2 games and one of them is basically just an expansion pack to NSMBU. Sure it’s got all the stages remade, but if it really were a completely new game, it’d be a full new retail game, not offered as a DLC. So I want my 3D Super Luigi game or whatever you wanna call it. Make a game where Luigi goes into a world with the physics of his SSBB final smash, that’d be awesome. I’ve thought of a bunch of stuff you can do with that, so I’m sure you creative guys over at Nintendo can come up with a bunch of great stuff. I just feel like saying Year of Luigi was just a cover for saying, “a bunch of Mario games that also include this guy, also his one standalone 3DS title” though, at the moment :/

    1. Thank you. Someone else gets it on here. This isn’t the Year of Luigi. Not unless he gets a Wii U title of his own. I’ll get Super Luigi U, but that isn’t his own game. It is DLC. Not impressive. I want a 3D Luigi game for Wii U, or else this is a fail of a year for Luigi fans. Luigi’s Mansion 2 might be fun and all, but it is still just a 3DS game. Luigi deserves his own full-fledged game on the Wii U.
