Announced in a press release sent out today by Nintendo, the video game giant has opened a new website for Super Mario 3D World. The site allows gamers to preorder the game, while featuring previews and promotional images for the title. It was also revealed in today’s Direct that a new cherry power-up will give players the ability to multiply their character, providing them with two, three, or four times the firepower of just one Mario or Toad. Unlike the new Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario 3D World is coming in right on schedule, and will be released on November 22nd.

So what was your honest opinion on the trailer? I know it’s a bummer that we don’t have online multiplayer (perhaps we could campaign for a patch) but I think this trailer did the game justice. We finally got to see a trailer that demonstrates the exploration in this game. It will feel more like a Super Mario Galaxy game with multiplayer rather than a 2D Mario rehash. I’m not telling you how to spend your money but I don’t think you will regret buying this game. Granted I have only played the levels that the E3 demos allowed but from that little time with the game I can tell you I had a blast.

Well because it kind of is. Yes I can see you have a point they are very similar but there is a lot more freedom in World than there is in Land. I’m really looking forward to long multiplayer sessions and all of the new power-ups. Now if only they patched in online multiplayer….
