Super Mario Sunshine (2002) has finally arrived on Nintendo Classics; another shiny addition to the GameCube library of games included with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The nostalgic summer-themed 3D platformer is well known for its upbeat, tropical-feeling tunes as you explore Isle Delfino, so to celebrate the launch, the official soundtrack has also been added to Nintendo Music. The Nintendo Music app is available on iOS, Android, and PC (via a web browser) for all Switch Online members (Expansion Pack not required). As for the game, Super Mario Sunshine can be enjoyed from the “Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics” app downloadable from the Nintendo eShop, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.

Coinkydinks a native iOS recomp was put out today. So I’ll give the game a go after years of not touching it because I thought it was bad. Let’s see if running it on better hardware with Oled can change my mind now

C’est une excellente addition au catalogue GameCube, surtout pour ceux qui ont de bons souvenirs de l’Île Delfino. Super Mario Sunshine reste un épisode assez particulier de la série, avec son ambiance estivale, ses musiques très reconnaissables et le fameux J.E.T. qui apporte une vraie différence dans les déplacements. L’ajout de la bande-son sur Nintendo Music est également une très bonne idée pour prolonger cette nostalgie.
