I see your point. As a kid, or only to play one or two games, it’s probably good. But I don’t see why people would buy it as a cheep 3DS for themself if they’re going to play a lot of games. Whenever I play Mario Kart with someone, I usally lets other people use my XL and borrows my sister’s 3DS. It’s so fricking small!
I just don’t see why anyone would get one when you can get a second hand 3DS for the same price. As long as it’s in good condition I’d take a second hand 3DS over that monstrosity any day.
It’s not even because it lacks 3D. It’s because it’s huge and can’t fold and has those awful squishy buttons and it’s just so cheap and tacky.
Maybe once 2DSs have been around awhile and they can be bought second hand for about $70 it’d be worth it if you’re desperate to save money. But I’d still never tarnish my games collection with that thing in a hundred years.
It looks like it’s made to handle some damage, so it would be great for kids! But yeah, I see your point. Though, when it comes to hardware, and most of the software, I prefer to get it new right from Nintendo!

That’s a great deal. It’s going to sell incredibly well. I doubt I’ll ever get a 2DS, though. Maybe years from now when they’re dirt cheap. I’d rather use an XL.

should be 50 or less. for just a little over 99 you can get a 3ds, hell maybe an xl.
That’s a good deal for the 2DS. Despite the negative feedback it is getting even though it is optional, I see it being a good alternative to the 3DS.
Not everyone can see 3D, or stomach it; I know a lot of people who get sick because of it, myself included. So, instead of bitching about what does not affect you, take other people (and their health!) into consideration. We should not be denied awesome video games because of something like that.
I think it’s a great option for kids and who ever else would like one.
