This week’s Media Create sales figures are now in from Japan. 1. Nintendo got screwed over by their “loyal fan base” that are now too cheap to actually buy their products. It’s ironic because Nintendo already offers the cheapest products. To all of those holding off on buying a Wii U or a 3DS – continue to do so. And you guys actually wonder why developers don’t support Nintendo.

One more week like this in our homeworld and I can just let them die…

Europe will be our new base…

  2. Wii u til 2020 get over it people 6 million sold with only a handful of 1st party games most nintendo fans are waiting for mk8 ssb zelda metroid starfox and f zero wii u will always be cheaper and stands out because of the screen

  3. Overall, it’s a down week in Japan.
The 3DS and the 3DS LL/XL are, combined, reigning supreme.
I think most people are holding back on buying a Wii U until MK8, Smash 4, or Zelda comes out, but who knows.

    1. Just look at all the sales from all the consoles they are pretty low, wait until the second half of the hear and if nothing changes, we can worry then.

  4. The Vita really took off after a few games released, and the Vita TV. Let’s hope Nintendo can do the same with the Wii U! And the last weeks have been really slow in Japan, lets hope MK8 pribgs up the Wii U.

    1. Nintendo should have a special eShop launch and let people download and play two-three weeks before the physical release. Get the hype going early.

        1. I think the Demo will delay some people from buying the full product right away. Movie studios do the same thing. If you download, you can get a movie 3 weeks before release.

        2. After playing the Rayman Demos, I didn’t feel the need to buy the game. I just play the demo to get my fix.

  5. Well, Wii U continues to track ahead of the PS4, so that is good. And with the second most anticipated title of the year coming, there should be a considerable bump in sales coming. Still, Nintendo needs to get their head out of their ass and market the Wii U more.

    1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Agreed, I don’t understand why they don’t market it like crazy…

I’m beginning to suspect that the NA Treehouse are made of Xbots…

        1. cambez is right. Microsoft is advertising the Xbox One as a multimedia system: a PC. Sony & Nintendo are advertising their consoles as video game consoles first & foremost.

  6. Great games are coming, just keep a little faith in Nintendo and patience to E3 2014! Believe me I know that Nintendo has a big surprise to you but it must cease to discover! ;-)

  7. The sales just keep declining every week for the wii u. That means now till may30th we will see lower and lowers sales. I’m afraid it will be too late by the time mario kart releases.

    R.i.P wii u

    1. It’s never too late for the Wii U, but you do not know why …
For Nintendo to sell Wii in the 25th million pieces they will be satisfied and
PS4 to be, but has to sell 100 million units, that’s where you come difference ..
But you do not get it, so I will not even explain, the only substantial money for the company, and Sony is in the thick broblemima.

And the situation for the Wii U is OK for now, but the media want to portray a bad trolls and you use it for what I have no idea, you will not achieve anything ..

The Wii currently has over sixth million units sold consoles.
      PS4 has the 7th million.
      XBO fourth million

Why would the Wii U was a rip? There is no logic, and now only the best games are coming!
The Wii is currently in second place and that’s OK
If it were like this all the talking Wii U would have to be on the second million, PS4 on the 15th and 13th XBO million and this is not the case! Hallo what you do!
Give up already Spruce not be idiots and start playing something!

      1. Decent attempt at spinning the numbers, but still fail. Wii U has over 6 million units sold since launch – almost a year and a half ago. Meanwhile, Xbone and PS4 have been out for less than half a year. Saying that the Wii U is in 2nd place is technically correct in terms of hardware sales, but completely disingenuous and lacking in context. There is nothing ‘OK’ about how the Wii U is selling right now, nor in how Nintendo is executing its business plan to sell it. The only aspect in which they may have some success is in their push to put out good first party games, but 1)they’re far too late with doing this 2)they’re still going about it too slowly, and 3)if you’re relying on a few first party games to save a system, then you have bigger things to worry about.

        1. Wii U is out there a year and a half, but the facts are that all of this and follow, but I would not have watched it so!
Why, do you think that someone bought a PS4 that was released a year ago, and that they have announced a new console from Nin .. and Mic .. for a year, would not it would all have been waiting to come out of all three consoles to opt for purchase ..
The real selling Wii started this year, kill, ascent PS4, XBO, because the competition is out there and now svakto have the choice and does not wait for the new generation of consoles! If you can not understand then you are stupid, sorry but it is so ..
The real selling Wii consoles began turning PS4, and XBO rather than a year ago!!!! The Wii U is not out to fight with the PS3 or Xbox360 already PS4/XBO and that’s it!

          1. Naivete and ignorance is one thing (which you have an abundance of in both categories), but your Engrish is almost unforgivable, and is the only thing I don’t fully “understand”. Keep believing the crap you’re spewing, though. You’re deluded.

            1. You’re being horrible to her for no reason :/ have an intellectual argument without making fun of her English. A person you can mock for their English is sasorideidaraobi because it’s his first language and he speaks like a fucking idiot.

    2. The sales might be declining every week but they are still adding up to the overall sales, so don’t be spreading the doom & gloom of Wii U just yet.

      1. Which is sad :/ but I think this is an opportunity for Nintendo to get out of their traditional way of thinking, and sort of get with the times. Especially with the state of gaming in Japan. Cause if you think about it, the way they think is very Japanese.. it’d be nice to see a mixture of the west and east rather than just the east, eh?

        1. Yeah. To be fair to Nintendo though, they are winning over Japan (and most of the world) with the 3DS. Things have slowed down recently sales-wise in Japan since a tax increase too.

But yeah, when it comes to their home console, Nintendo does need to make some changes.

          1. I agree about the 3DS :) the 3DS is safe, even the marketing for it is alright. The WiiU receives almost no marketing :/ you only see it on TV when a new game is about to get released and that’s like once in a blue moon. They should try and have WiiU booths here and there, maybe even open a week long WiiU booth in unis (especially now cause it’s exam time and people can let off some steam by playing games like 3D world and possibly a mario kart 8 demo).
Look at the success of Titanfall here in the UK, it’s not the best game, but it was ALL over the place; billboards, train stations, cinemas (even second son was among the ads shown at the cinema) and even in a coupla unis (booths where you can play)! And it’s been at the top of the chart for like 3 weeks now.

Ah well, I’m still rooting for Nintendo. I just know they’ll pull through.. I mean cmon, it’s Nintendo ;)

  8. What people seem to forget is the added tax which was introduced 2 or 3 weeks ago in Japan ,so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see low sell. Even PS4 doesn’t do well.it will be like this until October I am no worry at all for Nintendo.
