Capcom Looking To Reveal Resident Evil 7 At E3?

Sankei financial newspaper is reporting that there’s a possibility that Capcom may reveal the next entry to the Resident Evil franchise at E3 in June. Whether it’s insider information, or just a rumour that the paper has picked up on, remains to be seen. However, it seems reasonably likely that we will see some sort of Resident Evil title at E3 as Resident Evil 6 launched back in 2012.

And then there’s the matter of E3. Set for June, the publisher plans to show off a major game of some sort for the PS4. Fans are getting increasingly hyped up for the event, as they take it to mean that a new Resident Evil game is on the horizon.

    1. True, though Resident Evil has done better on the Nintendo Platform in recent years like the Gamecube, Wii, 3DS and Wii U. So why not?

    2. Well if its a new game it’ll come to the Ps4 and Box One. But since its cap com as of late, I too really doubt it would be ported to the Wii U. Unless nintendo now is a God time as any to pay 3rd party for good ports.

    3. I am a huge fan of Resident Evil and been playing since GameCube! the only RE game I didn’t like was RE5 which I played on Xbox360.. I hated this game I even bought the xbox for it! The best Resident Evil experience I had was with Nintendo by far and the gamecube one was my first.

  1. Because the Wii U can have great graphics, and because it’s Capcom, and they are now earning just the best Nintendo platformafa with MH 3.4 .. smart enough!

  2. It probably won’t, but it’s not impossible. Revelations came to the Wii U and 3DS. Resident Evil 4 came to the Gamecube and Wii.

So it’s not like Capcom are EA or anything.

    1. You are forgetting about RE Zero which I believe came to GameCube so RE7 on Wii U might be possible.

I’d say the chances of there being a Wii U version of RE7 is about 49% likely, not holding my breath though.

      1. Yeah Resident Evil Zero.. And Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil Code Veronica X and ports of Resident Evil 2 and 3.. Actually, except RE5 and RE6 they are all playable on Nintendo consoles. I am sure that everyone has their own favourite entry but I would say that the best Resident Evil games are in Nintendo (Some are even exclusives)

        1. It’s like with Monster Hunter, sure it was good on PS2 but on Wii and Wii U and 3DS it became more awesome!

Resident Evil to be honest suits the Nintendo console and hell they seem to sell well.

  3. Monster Hunter 3, 4 Capcom has brought great profits, and it is logical that Nintendo would get all their games!

    1. True, MH done way better on Nintendo consoles than on something like the Xbox 360… we never talk about the Xbox 360 version.

          1. I was kidding…
And you don’t seem to be trolling, but I felt like giving ya a hard time…
There’s more trolls here than any other site, and that’s what I’m used to….

  4. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Whatever they do, don’t ever ever create a hair that just awful and character that barely can be called a woman…

  5. Iost interest after 5. 4 in my opinion was beginning of the end of series. 4 sometimes to me felt like they added more ammo, and ways to survive in the game. I don’t remembera time where I had no ammo. 5 killed off weasker and made the series follow the path of COD, and 6 was train wreak. I did barrow revaluation’s from a friend before 6 came out and it was what I whated from the series, but heres the shocker this game cameout before RE 6 was announced I believe. Now since since the main resident evil devs left, I’m following The Evil Within. Fuck the RE series

    1. Well if I can remember they said they are talking inspiration from the Last of Us which is a real good thing because LoU was awesome and felt like Resident Evil… just sort of edgy rather than scary.

      1. I’ve tried the last of of us , its a good game, but not my type of survival horror. I might pick of the last of us later.

    2. Agreed. They killed Wesker. Killed the survival horror elements. Killed the fucking franchise.
      Fuck’em.

      1. Yes Weasker was the most threatening character ever in the series, his final fight was a awful and did weasker a huge dishonor. I wanted to fight crazy ask bullet dodge weasker not that …whatever weasker. Plus killing him is putting the series in bad areas in terms of positions games and villains

  6. I will give capcom one more chance to fix resident evil and if they fail than I am done with them and just play the new survival horror the evil with in I have some faith in capcom not much but a little bit

  7. I am glad wesker is dead I was getting tired of him but what about Jessica and Raymond they have the t virus I think thoes two can be the new villains for resident evil that would be cool

  8. Meh, Resident Evil is just a shell of it’s former self. If it comes to Wii U maybe I will get it but I’m definitely not hyped over how bad Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 were.
