Cants really say Mario/Zelda/Pokemon rehashes every time. “If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Build upon it.” Mario did significantly change over the years excluding New Mario Bros. after the DS game and maybe Mario 3D World (which is still a good game)

Of course I have and it’s nothing like Metroid at all. 1. The authorization of suit/weapons RETRIEVAL (not upgrades), which there is NO NEW SUIT/WEAPONS in the the game, is a fucking stupid idea. 2. The core design of the game is typical and rehashed from Super/Fusion meaning the environments, enemies and bosses are the same. 3. The story is so bland and self-contradicting to everything the series had established it almost destroyed it in the process of trying to outdo what the Prime series achieved and speaking of which, calling the Prime series “non-canon” is beyond unacceptable from Nintendo because it’s also saying that Retro Studios busted their asses to revive and build up the franchise from 2002 all for nothing. 4. No sense of characterization or relation building between Samus and Adam whom turned out to be such a bitter, mean spirited asshole instead of a respectable father figure to her especially after everything she has done for the GF to protect and save the planet/galaxy/universe between Metroid 1 to Super Metroid (Part 3) including the (TOTALLY CANON!) Prime chronicles. By the time they killed off Adam (in a stupidly written way; like why not just go in together to eject the sector or use an escape pod plus HTF does Adam know if Sector 0 Metroid are invulnerable to cold or not when you haven’t even encounter one in the fucking game?!), there was no emotional attachment between Adam, Samus and the players to feel sorry for Adam’s death or Samus’s pain of losing the only closest person to her as a family? It just happens and BTW, the selective flashbacks didn’t even explain shit about their lives or relationship in a deeper way besides when they split because Samus questioned his authority to sacrifice his brother which whom was also not explained much. So yeah, the story is shit and before I forget this detail, “The Deleter” sub plot also went nowhere and the designers seriously expect to figure out who the Deleter was by themselves without giving a clue is plainly wasteful and why reuse the “GF is corrupted and secretly produces Metroid” from Fusion anyway? The game is seriously lacking in ideas everywhere you look.

More to the point: OTHER M IS PURE SHIT and ruined the fracture much like how Sticker Star ruined Paper Mario, Mass Effect 3/Dead Space 3, COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4, etc.

Hello? Prime games did chronically connected Metroid 1 story involving the Chozo plus Space Pirates which, yes, did make an appearance in the Prime series. Prime 1 explained their ill fate with Phazon which also explains why they have scattered apart the cosmos and also connected to the Pirates failure on Zebes, Prime 2 explained their relationship with the Lunimoth and Prime 3 explained their treaty with the GF sharing knowledge and technologies between each other on Elysia. So yes, Prime trilogy did significantly explained some details for the Metroid lore so it’s canon and should be treated as such especially after all the good Prime did to revive and revolutionize the franchise much like Super Mario 64 did for Mario.

All Other M did was provide some fan service instead being a great Metroid game of itself. It borrowed and recycled heavily from Metroid 3&4, the plot is piss poor on characterization making the characters have no relations or almost no purpose to be there, no brand new game design in any places, the authorization of suit/weapons use is a fucking joke and ultimately killed the game’s sense of exploration/rewards for players, controls are retarded because it only uses the fucking Wii Remote (D-Pad)…in a 3rd person 3D game, pathetically tried to mimic Prime with its abysmal 1st person switching without moving…that’s even worse than RE4/5 “stand while shooting” mechanic (which was intentionally done to add tension to players) and also, the shooting controls are holding your hands the entire time by automatically locking on with no sense of engagement from players.

Stop damage controlling garbage man. I rather buy & play RE6, any EA Sports or even a fucking mobile game over that shit.
