Update: We are hearing that some users have gotten review copies.

The 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games arrives in North America tomorrow, but the review copies will not be among them. According to Destructoid, there will be no review copies of the game going out. There’s no word on whether other gaming media sites are having a similar problem, but it’s never good to see no reviews for the game up yet.
The 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will arrive in Europe on April 8th. The Wii U version launches worldwide on June 24th.

A mediocre-looking fluff filler title that Nintendo made to fill the void so they don’t appear as if they’ve totally abandoned releasing games this year doesn’t have review copies? Shocking.

You know what I mean. It’s one of the few games they have to release this year on their systems. They only published it but it’s practically first party, especially given how Mario is in it. Regardless, my point still stands. Filler title. Yawn.

Don’t know why people are saying Nintendo isn’t releasing anything this year. We’ve got Pokken Tournament, Star Fox Zero, and Zelda U coming out. It isn’t much, but they are all exclusive, AAA titles. Admittedly, third party support to fill in the gaps is completely non-existent, but what can be done about that at this point?
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics as a series has always been mediocre. It’s a good party game, and the review scores don’t do it justice. If they would acknowledge it for what it is, then they could appreciate it more. Invite some friends over, have a few drinks, and have a little fun with it. It’s the kind of game a hot girl will play with you, too. People take it too goddamn seriously. It’s also pretty to look at.
Eh. Pokken Tournament looks meh, and I still think Star Fox Zero will be a mess with the gamepad controls. Either way, 3 games – and 2 of those were supposed to be released last year? Come on, dude. In the grand scheme of things, Nintendo’s release list is paltry.

Who gives a fuck? I never pay attention to reviewers who get paid to review something anyway. They could chose in advance to bash or praise a game, it matters not cause in the end they get paid anyway. Hardly anyone cares about this game anyway.
It’s on my radar, just very low until I get more info about whether or not you can use any character in any event.
Sega’s showing their greedy side again. It’s just that this time the game isn’t actually horrible.
