After numerous consumers left gaming stores bitterly disappointed last holiday season due to the fevered demand on Nintendo hardware, Reggie Fils Aime has decidedly stepped in to inform shoppers that this year stock shortages shouldn’t be an issue.
Nintendo is increasing shipments for both Wii, and Nintendo DS by 50 percent between October to December. Reggie Fils-Aime says “If we were to get in a car right now and go to 100 retail locations in the San Francisco area, we would not be able to find a Wii in at least 60 of those stores. Our hope is that by next week, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and on Dec. 23, you’ll be able to find a Wii.”
