Nintendo have reported that its profits for 2008 exceeded its expectations causing the company to ponder whether they’ll achieve the same level of success during 2009. 1. If my predictions are right and they always are, expect a hardware revision ala DSi to piqué consumer interest and sway more third parties. The improved hardware upgrade to the Wii could put it on par with PS3 graphically. This move by Nintendo would even the playing field for developers, thus adding fuel to the fire that would push Sony to drop the price of the PS3 to combat this.Microsoft with nowhere to go but down would release news of their 360 successor for 2011.

    Miyamoto be praised!

  2. I’m inclined to agree with you in regards to a Wii hardware revision, rather than a fully fledged, newfangled console being revealed. Though I’m not expecting any dramatic graphical improvements.

  3. Ha, I noticed you missed out the word “dramatic”.

It’s definitely going to be able to output in High Definition, that’s a given. Anything else is just pure speculation at this point.

  4. that would be idiotic, peak or no peak wii still outsells competition every month (even with no releases) making a sucesor would be nonsense
