Nintendo Wii: Resident Evil 5 Still A Distinct Possibility On Nintendo Wii

residentevil5_2

Whilst Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners have already been graced by the latest edition of the Resident Evil franchise, Wii owners could still be in for a surprise.

We have not decided whether we are doing it or not doing it…up until now, after releasing our PS3 and Xbox 360 games, we have brought them to Wii. Basically, this is the approach we are considering taking.

  1. I don’t understand why Capcom hasn’t released a Wii version RE5. The Wii has greatly outsold both the PS3 and XBox 360 games consoles. If Capcom thinks the PS3 is the future in this economy then they need their heads examined.

  2. I’m of the same opinion as yourself. Considering how financially well Resident Evil 4 did and the prolific review scores for the game it’s baffling as to why they haven’t ported the game over using a similar game engine to Resident Evil 4.

  3. Im on the fence about this. I want to have RE5 on the wii but, it seems if they were to put it on the wii they may have to dumb down the graphics and change things. The reason RE4 was good for the wii was because they took it from playstation then gamecube and put it on the wii, which is an upgrade from those (same with Resident evil 1 and 0 on G-Cube). If they can keep everything in the game and make it good, then it will work. I just don’t want it to be ruined like Dead Rising for the wii, which was so boring because of how much they took out of it. Just don’t ruin it, thats all i ask.
