Nintendo DS: Zelda Spirit Tracks Turns DS Into A Spirit Pipe

zelda_spirit

It’s been revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will allow you to play the DS like a woodwind instrument.

Nintendo have revealed that certain parts of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will require the player to blow into the DS microphone to use Links Spirit Pipe. The Spirit Pipe will apparently play an “essential role” in Zelda: Spirit Tracks, just as the conductor’s baton did in Zelda: Wind Waker and the flute did in Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

  1. Damn my DS lite’s mic has been broken since near I bought it, on the uk launch day. I have to locate my external mic before I buy this I guess

  2. Great, now I can look like a moron when i play Spirit Tracks in public.

That’s going to look really cool when i’m playing my DS Lite the bus next to some smug jerk playing some macho FPS or Racing game on his iPhone.

At least make the microphone feature optional like Mario Kart DS did, where you can use the select button to inflate your Battle Balloons or actually blow into the system.
