Nintendo 3DS: Zelda Ocarina Of Time 3D To Launch After E3 In June

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has told MTV that the 3D remake of Zelda Ocarina of Time will be released after E3 clarifying that Nintendo won’t release the game until they believe it’s ready.

“Mario, Zelda, all of those titles are coming. From our perspective, we like to launch titles when they’re ready. And so they’ll be ready, they’ll be ready soon. Just not in that initial time period of late March to early June.”

He added that these games will launch “after E3”.

  1. Nooooooooo :( So all those stellar Nintendo games we’ve been waiting for aren’t even going to be released during that “launch window” that they were going on at the price announcement presentation?

  3. So would you rather they rushed it out for launch or waited till it was ready and as good as it can be?
    I would rather wait………

  4. 1st off…..How long does it take to do a remake? Also, this is classic Nintendo. They’re going to hold all the titles that people want until fall. And what about the Wii? Besides Conduit 2 and Skyward Sword what else is coming out? I didn’t think so at 1st, but considering how slow software for the Wii is moving, could we see it’s successor at this year’s E3??

  5. I’m more excited for skyward sword, its annoying though how long we have to wait to get it. I hope it comes out before e3. Besides the3DS and its not so stellar liberary we have pokemon B&W in march to keep us busy until June.

  6. Hopefully that doesn’t mean Star Fox 64 3DS will also be after E3…at least we’re getting Nintendo games during the legit summer period though. If I can’t get my hands on any quality Nintendo games at least Conduit 2 will be around to satisfy. I don’t see the point in waiting to pick up the hardware–it’ll likely be scarce like the Wii was. To me there looks like enough built in to keep me busy.

  7. well at least the 3ds is coming to my city around may-june, so it won’t be that much of a wait for me I guess…but still, I hope I have some quality game to keep me entertained until then because so far the lineup, bleh…

  8. They should have just waited until all the good games were ready and then launch the 3DS because the launch titles are just not good… There are a couple games that look good, but none of them are the games that people have really been waiting to play.

  9. This kinda just made my day. I was worried I wouldnt have enough money saved to get a 3DS right away. I’m glad I have time cuz I must get Zelda in 3D!!!!!
