Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo 3DS virtual consoles will be available to consumers at launch and will feature an array of Gameboy and Gameboy Colour titles.
The Gameboy and Gameboy Colour titles that Nintendo have revealed so far for the 3DS Virtual Console are Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX.

This is good. I used to have a Gameboy Color but it had a cracked LCD. I wonder, what kind of effect would playing on the 3DS’ upper screen have on these old games?

I wish. It’s not only 3DS games I wanna play. I’d like to try out the classics as well, many of which will be my first time.
Well when I had a GBA I was too young to know there were “good games” from the….. (gasp) GBC/GB era! Therefore I only had one GBA game and that was Silver; so I’m pretty excited about this opportunity to experience the classics I never got to play.
The virtual console is seperate from the eshop? Hm…

I wouldn’t be criticizing the 3DS, when I heard about all the features of the PSP2, I wanted to call it a DS and iPhone rip off, with a possible higher price tag.
If you think DS sucks, then why did you even bother clicking onto this webpage that is to do with Nintendo 3DS, you obviously have a burning curiosity to see something Nintendo. You can’t even get the system right, it’s a 3DS they’re talking about not a DS!

If only they would confirm GBA games for 3DS VC. I’m still wondering that, and there are a lot I’d like to see come back. Regardless, probably going to get LA DX sometime.
A while ago, they announced they *might* do some GBA games on the 3DS’ VC. I can see it at around the same amount of N64 games on Wii’s VC.

I don’t think this is confirmed anymore. Seeing as the source got its source from IGN and IGN has since rescinded the original announcement. What a shame!

I heard reports after E3 that Nintendo was also showing off some Nintendo Classics with 3D effects. I really wanna see that.
