  1. Prehaps the 3ds won’t die. This price cut may acually save it unlike nintendo’s othere failed consoles like the Vitral Boy.

      1. I agree, however the 3ds is not perfect, nintendo must have a longer batter life, that is were i stop my wallet. if nintendo fixes that, ill happyly buy a 3ds and starfox

  2. The Wii U is the perfect consel for starfox. Main screen racing and action. 360 degrees action on the controller. Maybe 3rd person control on main screen. Switch to auto-pilot. 360 degrees shooting. Back to control. If 2-player. One person controls the flight. Either with a second Wii U controller or Wiimote Plus. Second person shoots with Wii U controller.

  3. They should of had some killer games out on launch or say a month after, wouldn’t of had to drop the price so soon. I brought mine thinking Mario kart would be out a bit after launch, not 9 or so months later. Surely after all these years of any company releasing a console, you should know by now you need some quality games on launch or a week or two later.

    1. They want to give the third party devs a time to shine. However most of the third party were lazy and brought us dumb games, or stupid ports with bad flaws. Only game worth it for launch was Super Street Fighter 4.

  4. This price cut and the soon to be slew of awesome games will bring Ninty back up after the disappointing 3DS release. This should be a lesson for the Wii U release. Can’t wait, btw I always love seeing this page in my Twitter stream. :D

  5. To be honest, I don’t know why the 3DS was launched so early. A lot of things came late, such as the things like Eshop, Pokedex 3D, Netflix, Ocarina of TIme 3D, and there was a huge gap. Should’ve done September and made both Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 launch titles along with the new firmware. Then the 250 might have actually been worth it at the time.

  6. It’s funny, because I just put my pre-order in the other day (along with Overclocked) and I had my 3ds since launch.

  7. I just read this mont’s Game Informer issue. There are more games than people think coming for the 3DS. Normally, you’d think of Mario 3D and Mario Kart, but I never played the original Tail of the Abyss, so that’s on my radar. Tetris also looks very interesting with all the things it’s offering such as AR.

    1. I loved seeing that article, and it’s about time they printed it. Most often I’ve seen GI take a wary approach to the 3DS and Wii U, so it’s a refreshing change of pace to see them be advocates in this fashion.

  8. I love Starfox 64, but I’m skipping this remake. I wasn’t totally sold on it before, but once I saw that they re-recorded the voice-overs with newer, terrible voice actors, I am not able to bring myself to buy it.

Unless Peppy is telling me to do a barrel roll with the original sound clip, it’s not Starfox 64 (to me).
LoZ OoT was wise in keeping the original sounds and music exactly the same.

    1. Which is why a lot of reviews gave OoT a NOT-perfect; the sound. Reviewers said they wished the sounds were remade with 2011 music, instead of 10-year old effects. I’m OK with both sides (never had a N64, just a… PS1…. don’t shoot me!) as nostalgia won’t be a factor with me…. but I still want some quality sound acting/effects.
