Nintendo Wii U: Brand New Dragon Quest X Details Emerge For Wii And Wii U

Japanese magazine Shounen Jump has provided gamers with some additional details about the recently revealed Dragon Quest X.

Apparently the game will be referred to as Dragon Quest Online rather than Dragon Quest X. The game also features six races: Ogre, Elf, Dwarf, Pukuripo, Wedi and human. Players are tasked with solving a mystery involving the human world. The main area is called is called Astoldia, which is split into four continents: Ogleed, Eltona, Dwachakka, Pukuland, and one island chain, Wena Islands. The game is developed by Square Enix and is due out next year for Wii and later for Wii U.

  1. An online RPG for the Wii and Wii U; a system with an atrocious and gratuitously restrictive online capabilities….smart move Square-Enix! The Wii may have the biggest install base but what percentage of those are core gamers (DQ type players)? I’d be willing to bet my life it’s a small percentage in comparison to the core base the Box and PS 3 have. Dumb move by Square-Enix.

        1. The Wii’s online isn’t horrible, it isn’t great but it’s not horrible. Horrible would be the PS2’s or GameCube’s online, the Wii is far better than those two systems. Not to mention we DO know that the Wii-U has greatly improved online, 3rd party developers have said that and I think I can trust what they’re saying, regarding to systems.
