During today’s Nintendo press conference Nintendo president Satoru Iwata spent some time discussing Mario Kart 7 for Nintendo 3DS. The game will support 8-player online and it will run at 60 frames per second. Mario Kart 7 will also have a Mario Kart channel which collects data from StreetPass, including the ghost Miis of players you pass in the street. With regards to SpotPass there will be daily download ghost data to race against.

cool i saw but couldnt understand japanese!~
they got english subtitles on IGN
I love the idea of clans, and Nintendo actually beats other kart racers in online with that feature! This is (in my knowledge) the first genre where Nintendo has other companies beat in online… let’s hope this carries over to other games/genres.
60 fps! Cool. :)
I forgot to watch the presentation !
Same here! Hope someone will upload it
Whoa Nintendo has really improved on the online front.
The Mario Kart games since the DS one has always had good online. However, one franchise does not reflect on the whole of Nintendo’s online service, which for the most part except for the a few games like mario kart, sucks.
Lots?

I think I like this feature better than autolog on Need for Speed.
Can’t wait!
there’s also 16 new tracks! (might I include a DKCR track with tiki’s and everything) and 16 classic tracks- Luigi’s mansion, maple tree, koopa beach all those. In the classics they have added a few new things like water to go in and hanglider stations. New characters a confirmed! Along with the koopa there’s several new characters. Only a few have been revealed. Metal mario from mario 64, lakitu (red shell), and rosalina. that’s just 3 out of several that are new. Also a Super mario 3d land demo for the eshop will be available during the last week of october or the first week of November. Ambassador GBA games set for either Nov or Dec release (my money’s on Dec). Along with new streetpass game and video recording there’s new trailers for upcoming games! 3d classics like kirby NES and kid icarus are coming your way in the eshop! With so much stuff on the 3ds there’s so much to do this holiday season! But it doesn’t end there! A new 3ds zelda game is being devoloped. Said to have the 3d mean something! luigi’s mansion 2 set for january 2012 release. Paper mario set for 2012 release. Sonic Generations might be coming November on 3ds. And let’s not forget the super secret prize for the upcoming 3ds streetpass contest. This holiday season is all about the nintendo 3ds. Enjoy!
