Nintendo has released a system update today for the Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS system update doesn’t bring any exciting features but it does improve system functionality and other adjustments. To manually update your Nintendo 3DS all you need to do is head to System Settings, Other Settings and select System Update.

All you actualy need to do is go to the E-Shop and it does it automatically :) mine did it this morning ;)

If Windows updated you never get great new extras.
So just be thankful and wait for the Letter Box. The update will help for future releases, I think. :) So it’s okay! And download was just a few seconds! :)

This isn’t really news-worthy. An update on the Letterbox would be nice, as in I’d like to know if we actually ARE getting it today.
It is news worthy, so people who turn their wifi off to preserve battery know to update for this.

My 3DS had a blue spot pass light on so I opened it and all It did was ask me to restart as it already did the update. Well fuck me.
Last update gave us sleep mode updates and downloads.
What are you talknig about? The 3ds has had sleep mode since day one. It’s called closing it.
Got it early today (well, about 1 in the morning I think, it was pretty late), and I was kind of disappointed the update brought no new features. What a waste of my time recently.
But when the hell’s that free letterbox thing or whatever it’s called?
It’s kinda like pictochat except long range and it’s not instant messaging, it takes a while.

I woke up at around 1 am because I was sleeping, and I updated my system, checked on Wikipedia and what it does is the minor improvement of StreetPass Mii Plaza software.
Wikipedia is almost as unreliable as the biggest liar you know.
Also how Wikipedia know about it if it was released yesterday

I think this is for system stability, but it also prepares the 3DS for swapnote/Letter Box since it’s something you will need to download from the eShop as an application.
I love what Nintendo is doing with the 3DS. Last night, I checked my system because there was a blue light blinking. When I opened it up, the update was already downloaded to my system. It asked me if I wanted to install it. It only took an instant to do that. I love that instead of doing a manual update because my system will always be ready when I need it.

I noticed several empty game/application spaces had been added to my home screen, I’m pretty sure they weren’t there with the last big system update that added video recording. Maybe that was added with this update too?
I have also noticed that with this previous update, it like double the spaces you originally have. Which is good cause i was running out of space. So the update was not for nothing :)
hi there what update dubble spaces i still have the low spaces soo running out of game apps plus 3,888 free blocks and 432 free blocks on console
