One of the graphic designers at Bits & Bytes, Armand Kossayan has created a wonderful piece of artwork, known as The Earthbound Journal. This is essentially an artist’s rendition of a journal kept by the four heroes (Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo, though told predominantly from the viewpoint of Paula) during their adventures in the game Earthbound (Mother 2). It features beautiful artwork, as well as images taken from the game to create a wonderful retelling of this cult classic. If you would like you can download it absolutely free here.

Mother 2 (Earthbound) is my #1 favorite game that has ever been made. My Second being Mother 3. I’m so stoked when I see anything Mother related. Now all I need is for them to put it on Virtual Console. If it could be on 3DS Virtual Console I may die then and there :))

Wishful thinking on the part of most of the people posting here. NOA has no intention of bringing Earthbound to a Western audience. It’s a wonder that it was released here on the SNES to begin with. As long as the people running NOA now are still running it, there will be no Mother on the VC.

Well I think XENOBLADE is proff that NOA is right NOT to release Earthbound here. Turns out the most vocal fans are also the minority. Xenoblade was finally announced and no one will pre-order it.

Wait! In this it says that Paula gets with JEFF and they have a daughter called Nancy! Why Ness, WHY?!? Ness and Paula were quiet a nice couple, and her parents will agree with me!
I was confused, too… Jeff said toward the end ‘if you two get hitched I could fix your electronics for you.’ nothing like a kiss or a ‘I like you.’ I think the end was for the illustrator’s personal fan service.
