Respected UK games publication GamesTM has awarded the highly anticipated Resident Evil: Revelations a mediocre 6/10. The publication seems to have issues with the game’s episodic structure which is calls ‘cheap’ and the fact that you find yourself battling against the same enemies time and time again. Will you still be picking up Resident Evil: Revelations?
I’ll wait to see what other sites say. If it continues to get poor scores, I think I’ll wait till the prices lowers.

RE4 did a great job of providing variety. It’s biggest weakness was that it’s puzzles were always: “find three pieces of metal and return to this door”
Of course I will, one bad review from a magazine I never heard of won’t affect my excitement for the game. I’ll be the judge of that.

Exactly. Whoever did this review identifies more with the Vita’s mission: Full console games on a portable. For the reason you stated, portables have proven to be kinder to shorter session play.

Breakdown of the review:
It’s good, this game is good, it’s really good, achievements confirmed, monsters are repetitive like in all RE games, reviewer ignored multiplayer and the fact that some people won’t play through the game in one sitting and gave it 6/10.
This is simply a bad review. Of course I will still be getting it, especially since the bundle is so cheap in the UK.
How can you judge a review? First of all, the game is not released to the public, and secondly, it’s a guy’s opinion. You can disagree with it, but it’s not “bad” or “wrong”
Note that GamesMaster UK gave the game 91%.
God damn it, Capcom.. Why are you ruining yourself? You throw away Mega Man, you make shitty re-makes of your games with DLC required for several elements, you make IPHONE REMAKES, You rehash the same elements over and over for Street Fighter, You TOOK THE SURVIVAL HORROR out of Resident Evil, You make changes to games that are fine as they are.. need I go on? Ever since they fired off the last of their original staff, they’ve been kicking themselves in the ass.

Also, That’s a concern I had after watching videos of Revelations online. IT’S THE SAME EXACT ENEMY OVER AND OVER. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it was a cool zombie, but it’s a weird grey plastic thing that looks repetitive and generic. Not scary at all.

I think Peteriuss is making all of the accounts himself, as he’s the only one I’ve ever seen misspell “Sickr” as “sichr.” Yep, I’m saying that I believe you are Peteriuss too, “ilovelacta.” His/your spelling and grammar are constantly and consistently atrocious in precisely the same manner.

I’ve never heard of this magazine, so I don’t see a reason why I should care about them. Plus, while the game does have repetitive skins, the monsters themselves seem to be different. It follows the trend of past RE games. Also, they complain about the episodic gameplay, yet isn’t that what a handheld game is supposed to be like? Even if they’re trying to replicate console games, it’s still on a handheld.
If any of you have changed their view on this game simply by one bad review, then you can’t call yourself gamers. It means you don’t have the ability to analyze the trailers and the info about the game and rely on another person’s view of the game whether you’ve played it or not. The review doesn’t seem to address the multiplayer mode and other stuff.
Damn, I just checked their website and looked for their review of Revelations, but they have removed it as of now.

Anyway, I will NOT let 1 sad review that’s now been deleted influence my decision to buy RE: Revelations. I own Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for DS & even though it’s only a port of the PS1 version, I personally just am glad to have Resident Evil games on my handheld system. IGN blasted RE: Mercenaries with a 6.5 review. Yet, I agreed with some of the people on the 3DS forums that Mercenaries is suited for short bursts of play to beat a high score & sometimes a few minutes is all you have to play. I bought it on release day & have ended up putting over 30 hours into it. A friend picked it up at Xmas & we played co-op online & had a great time. And yep, the enemies DO repeat in Mercenaries but; I knew all of this going in. So yeah, a bit hard to disappoint me on that aspect. I just freaking LOVE Resident Evil & I love playing it on my 3DS. And being that Resident Evil 4 is my favorite in the series, the (way too short) playable demo on Mercenaries was exactly what I personally was hoping for. So again, 1 bung-hole’s opinion will DEFINITELY not deter me from this game!
Still gonna buy it.
