Capcom has revealed that the development team behind Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D initially started developing both games by running Resident Evil 5 on the Nintendo 3DS. The development team were so impressed at how Resident Evil 5 ran on the Nintendo 3DS that they began starting work on Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D in parallel with each other.
If only they would release it on 3DS. I would so buy it.
i would buy it too, as i loved re5, but i am much happier that they chose to make a brand new game. lets all hope re6 makes it to wii u!

Well it’s easier because it’s a small screen. It’s not as powerful as the PS3, but it looks just as good because the processor has to do a lot less work with a 3 inch screen.
3 inch screen perhaps but its still 240×800 in 3d which isnt nothing
its a lot less than ps3 dont get me wrong but the size of the screen doesnt really matter as much as the resolution of the console itself

Well, if this is true, they should bring RE5 to the 3DS. I mean, a lot of the people who bought a 3DS probably had a Wii. Like myself. Which means we missed out on RE5. And yeah, it was bad, apparently. But I would gladly play $40 or $50 for it if given the chance.
Sad part is though that not too many would agree with you, and the development costs wouldn’t be covered by sales profit.
Or when they said they had it running, maybe they just had part of the first level running on it.

That’s all great and all but the demo was disappointing. It really need a second pad.
I think the earlier style RE (remember fixed cameras) would have been a better fit for the 3DS. Clever camera positioning would fit very well the 3D and it takes out the need for a 2nd stick.
