Nintendo has announced via a press release that it sold 285,000 units of portable and console hardware during May. Microsoft revealed that it sold 160,000 Xbox 360 consoles, and Sony declined to give any numbers. It was also announced that Nintendo 3DS sales were up 17% from this time last year.

Sony are good competition for Nintendo, it’s just that their fans and, to some extent, their higher employees are just so arrogant and stupid.
Kind of like everywhere, though. Nintendo is my favourite since forever, but I also like Sony pretty much. I only hate MS to tell the truth lol.
Anyway, I personally think MS/Xbox fans tend to be a lot more arrogant than PS3 fans. Just like Apple fanboys tend to be a lot arrogant about their overpriced products.

True but since ps2/Walkman days, they haven’t really produced anything that has made in impact in technology, once Walkman was a generalization of all portable personal audio devices, now it’s all iPod this iPad that. They probably make more of a profit in the music/film industry, but I don’t know anyone who buys an album or movie just because it has Sony printed on the box.
Still, without necessarily innovating, they’re good at making the stuff they make. I have a Sony MP3 player, to hell with iStuff. I don’t know for ALL of their stuff, but a majority of it I heard they’re good (tvs, stereo…).

You can figure that yourself, although that averages about 70 000 consoles and handhelds per week – most of which will be from the new 3DS, not the ageing Wii. People know of the Wii U, and won’t bother getting a Wii now.
