      1. Please don’t click the links by this user as they are inappropriate pictures, I e-mailed Sickr to get them deleted.

  1. No surprise there. I mean didn’t it just become official that nintendo became the best video game company in the world?

        1. actually pokemon copied dragonquest 5 which had monsters which you can train and also borrowed elements of tamogotchi :P

therefore digimon is a copy of dQ monsters

              1. erm not really. DQ is far more complex. armour, magical abilities, strengths and weaknesses etc. Pokemon is just training and four skills and then the strs and weaknesses of each monster. Plus the same story… beet gym leader and then elite four over and over

Think before you write. Also did u no there is a law in Japan that forbids dragonquest being released in the weekdays so that people do not miss school or work. NOW THAT is History.

                dont believe me?

                Long read but interesting

                here is the quote

Dragon Quest III did more than just hook Japan on it though. Dragon Quest in Japan is more of a cultural phenomenon than pretty much any game in the US, with the possible exception of Mario Brothers. Dragon Quest III made one critical mistake that changed the fabric of game history forever in Japan though: It was released on a weekday. This lead to anarchy for a day as millions called in sick, waiting in line just to get the game. Japan’s legislatures were not slow to act, enforcing a now historic law that bans Dragon Quest from ever being released in Japan on a weekday. This law is still in effect today, as each Dragon Quest entry is met with millions still copping out of a day of work.

        2. Wow…. lol

A copy of what? Digimon is NOTHING like Pokemon in any way other than the name. I actually preferred the Digimon anime over Pokemon, hands down.

Loved Digimon World 3 as well. That game was awesome. Very different from Pokemon. Also you should know, Digimon started out as a virtual pet in 1997 by Bandai, the same company who created the tamagotchi. Digimon was meant to be a more masculine version of the tamagotchi pets which were released in 1996 the same year the first Pokemon game appeared.

So, in reality, there was no copying on either side.
