Not only is the latest issue of Game Informer full of information regarding New Super Mario Bros U but it also has quite a bit of exciting information related to Nintendo Land. We heard yesterday that the game will feature a Metroid themed attraction titled Metroid Blast which is a horde themed mode which sees you go through waves of enemies as a group. Here’s a few other details published by the publication:
- Ride a small train to and from attractions
- Spend coins in the hub that you’ve earned by playing attractions
- Winning pachinko games populates the park with Nintendo memorabilia
- This includes Miis in Zelda costumes
- Metroid Blast has everyone dress up in Samus’ armor
- One player flies Samus’ ship using the GamePad and screen
- 4 Wii MotionPlus players (plus Nunchuk) try to shoot down the ship
- No radar available
- Includes a lava-filled Norfair map
- This map features a mechanical Kraid that players can grapple up
- Metroid Blaster requires Wii MotionPlus
seems pretty cool
”Ride a small train to and from attractions ”
I am now 200% SOLD MOTHER FUDGER!!!!!
Spend coins in the hub that you’ve earned by playing attractions
=new attraction maps/levels :D new zelda levels/metroid levels here we come
i hope the coins can be spent on ‘in park’ memorabilia . that would kick ass. so you can place nintendo object’s everywhere.
”welcome to the master sword section”
yes and for more levels/things in the actual minigames:D
would be epic if you can costumize your park als^^
You didn’t mention the name of the magazine…
uhhh. are you serious? “the latest issue of Game Informer” >GAME INFORMER<
He edited it. It originally read “the latest issue of the magazine”.
oh. well woops lol
Yes, he’s right. I amended it.
my bad my bad lol
Sounds more wicked ppl who diss it are idiots
Yep, because people who have opinions are clearly idiots.
*because people who have wrong opinions are clearly idiots*
more like IGNorant people i say.
More like faggot fanboys I say
Yep, because it’s retarded to not get excited over a cheap gimmick.
yep , because it’s retarded to judge something before its even released.
this game could be amazingly fun. just saying.
Considering Nintendo are making next to nothing these days I hope it does turn out to be good, because after Pikmin 3 you won’t be seeing a AAA excluesive for a while.
Hmmm. I thought Nintendo Land looked pretty crappy at first, but the more I hear about it, the more interested I get. Might check it out come release. Still sorta hope it comes bundled with the console though.
No matter how cool it is, it’s still gonna be a failure unless it’s bundled with the console.
“No matter how cool it is, it’s still gonna be a failure”
LOLno. If that’s the case, Mario Party and WarioWare are failures.
It wont be a failure, casuals will be all over it, especially seeing as it’ll probably be one of the games demoing in stores, but even gamers like myself are interested in it. I probably wont get it unless its bundled, or part of a store bundle, but it certainly looks fun.
i played the game and it is fun especially when you play with other people. its like a party game kind of like what wii sports was like but much better. dont knock it till you try it its worth getting
I’ll be getting it if theres a bundle offer at one of my local stores, it looks incredibly fun, but unless it has online, i wpuld purposely buy it on its own.
yeah it does have multiplayer online features but if they do bundle it, it will cost probably $30 to $40 more
Still not interested in it.
So im guessing the Mii’s are more customisable for the WiiU?
Which is cool, looks like im gona need a couple more motion+ controllers xD
Is this a “make jake cum” day because so much wii u news= so much love!
Does it have online multiplayer?
yes probaly becuase other miis can visit your park right?
one would presume nintendo would be absolutly insane to leave any kind of multiplayer in this. i mean in a dream world you would be able to walk around your friends theme park and chat to them.
nintendo have probably left this feature out for some strange reason.
miiverse is completely funtctional with this game though.
wow kraid? sold now…if not bundled=buy still
dont say that or they might not bundle it
i hope it’s bunde best bundle ever then
WRONG! BEST BUNDLE EVER WERE DONKEY KONG SERIES FOR SNES!
Trying to think of something sarcastic to say, but basically, Im so not impressed.
sold

Yuck!! this spam tastes awful
Do you want some complimentary mints?
SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!
If it’s sold separately, then what’s the point?
It’s a full game called Nintendo land. I think thats the point .
It should be bundled, imo. We’ll hear more about this game on Sep 13th anyway ^_^
it does seem like a bundled game. BUT unlike the awesome but shallow wii sports. this has more to offer than wii sports. its a tech demo also but it is also a full games.
are you saying that because its a casual game?
http://tinyurl.com/9atd5my
SPAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MotionPLUS? no thanks.
Yeah, I want to use my UNRESPONSIVE version of the Wii Remote, thank you very much!
I know, right?? I love being limited to waggle instead of proper motion controls!
Nintendo should bundle the Wii Remote Plus >_<
Exactly. Requiring a previous hardware’s controller is just pure fail.
Yeah.
Despite the fact that you can’t run two fucking tablets at the same time, not to mention, how the Wii Remote can make an ACTUAL gameplay difference.
*it can run two GamePads, but with heavy cost
If they’re set re-using wiimotes (so far as to actually requiring them), i’d rather they brought the fucking things up to date and provided one with the system.
All I need to hear now is that it has online play and I’m sold on this.
I hope it does… The way the talked about it at E3 suggests it was, but, you never know -.-
Yeah and for some odd reason I feel like they’ve pulled this stunt before
If it has online, id buy it as a stand alone copy, not the first game id buy, but id still buy it, otherwise, it would have to be officially bundled, or part of a stores bundle
It just keeps getting better and better. I hope you can still have an enjoyable experience if you are playing alone. I’m mostly a single player kind of guy. Leave luck to heaven.
probaly npcs(non playable characters) or cpus wil help you then
So can you use the pro controller???
probably not for this particular game, because its made specifically to show what the gamepad can do.
Ok.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. It doesn’t matter if you feel that this only a collection of mini-games, or a full game expirience. All that matters is that you have fun playing it. That’s what gaming has always been about since the beginning and too many people forget that.
I know right. People surely was not complaining back in the day.
Could the mechanical Kraid be pointing towards Kraid in the next Metroid, who knows.
Starting to sound very interesting.
I wonder if most Wii U games will use the Wii Motion/Remote plus?
me mites get this if no spongebob games come out at same time
i still need wii motion plus!
