This is actually pretty sad, seeing a huge part of Nintendo just disappear like that. I never read Nintendo Power, but I’m sure many would miss it.
I am sad too. It is an end of an era. ;(
YES DIE LIKE THE PLAGUE OMG THIS IS TOO MUCH FIRST XBOX DESTROYED CRUSHED NINTENDO WII U SALE HAHA AND NOW THE END OF A LEGACY HAHAHHAAHHAAH HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN GOOD VERY GOOD NOW ITS NINTENDOS TURN TO DIE FACE IT NINTENDO YOUR NOT RELEVENT WITH THE CHILDREN AJD ADULTS ANYMORE! ….. What on earth are you smoking?
more like what hell he’s sniffling up his nose
If Nintendo too fall the whole gaming industry will go down with them.
Wow. Who let you on the Internet? You’re obviously an ignorant 11-year old idiot who is obviously a spoilt brat on top of that. Please never touch a video game again.
It is time like this where i lose faith in humanity.
Crack kills man…
Because comparing Wii U launch and late Xbox 360 sales is fair (when Halo 4 arrived)….. Xbox 360 launch was worse than Wii U launch, END OF DISCUSUION faggot!
I have nothing against MS but you are just DUMB.
I saw the Xbox being sold for 150 so who the hell wouldn’t buy it for themselves or their children at that price with skylanders? I saw plenty of Xbox consoles sitting on shelves and the wii u sold out almost everywhere
Pride comes before a fall. The Wii U is going to continue selling and selling well. Worry about what the PS4 will do to the 720, I hate buy ‘merica clowns that leave in the backward red states. Texas is cool for a red state though. 1) Wii U 2) PS4 3) PC 4) xbox nonsense
obvious troll is not obvious. It’s just plain psychotic
people people THIS^ is what a kid looks like on crack.
Your daddy must have a bigdick and you are still having nightmares.
Fail.
HIYA JAMIE!
POTATO!
I love that, it looks phenomenal, and absolutely brings back memories of receiving my free copy in the mail as a member of the Nintendo Fun Club! Looking forward to picking this up, for sure! Just too bad it will no longer be, but hopefully Nintendo has other plans in mind…
Damn…..I will definitely buy this one.
That’s a great cover.
Who in this day and age subs to physical print and Nintendo only news at that. I would get if you subbed to game informer or something that has everything. But as it stands the medium is Dying so peace Nintendo power.
RIP in peace nintendo power
Rest in Peace in Peace?
Exactly what I was thinking.
I wonder what the new magazine will be, if they have one.
The magazine disappears much like the physical disc will too soon. I don’t want it to! But it will
That awesome yet sad at the same time
Xbox Troll!!! You’re under arrest! You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can be and will be used against you in court!! We have received complaints of your misuse of the english language and you will be taken in to serve time for your crime!! (P.S. You do know that Xbox sold more than Wii U because there were more in stock right?)
xBox troll! You are hereby under federal arrest! You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.*
(The complaints filed do not warrant arrest, and you just said he would be taken to court, why would the police officer tell him that he is going to jail?)
Leave him alone troll was molested as a baby troll
I heard it was cause the publishers caught heck with Nintendo of Japan every time it.came time to get publishing rights. This is so so so sad. This truly is the end of an era.
The end of an era… And the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Nintendo stuff. Goodbye Nintendo Power. We knew ye well. Even if I never read a single issue of yours, I still have the utmost respect.
Halo 4 is boring. What’s next? Wow, a butterfly!
Hmm….it doesn’t look any thicker like I thought it would be, since it’s the LAST issue. I was expecting it to be like 2 issues thick. Oh well. Awesome cover!
I still can’t believe this happened. I’ve been a subscriber ever since the Super Mario Bros. 3 Strategy Guide, when I was 11 or 12. It’s the only magazine I subscribed to. Well, I used to subscribe to EGM (and GamePro YEARS ago) until I got sick of feeling like they were bashing Nintendo and having WAY too much Playstation and Xbox coverage. Same with GameInformer. Nintendo Power was the only game magazine dedicated to my favorite game company and consoles. I keep hoping that another company picks up this publication and keeps it alive, but doesn’t look very likely.
Oh. the memories of waiting for the mailman/woman to arrive, and me spying on them as they put the mail into our mailbox, hoping I could see a magazine in their hands. Made my day every time I got another issue. At around the 26th of each month, I knew it was NINTENDO POWER TIME! (and all those times when I got angry because of seeing it in stores even before I got it in the mail)
Thank You Nintendo and Future US for making such an awesome magazine, and giving my childhood (and adulthood) such happiness. I’m REALLY gonna miss my Nintendo Power!!
Wow very sad.
Oh God… The emotions – it hurts…. I feel like crying or something….
Emotions what is, what is that?

Wouldnt*
User names Neilix… Please add me…mi lonely :’c wait the mii name and username is a separate thing right?
Yeah, your Nintendo Network ID is what people use to add you. It’s displayed under your Mii’s Name on your Miiverse profile in grayed out letters and can be a total of 16 characters in length.
For Example: My Mii’s Name is Jonathan. People will see my name as Jonathan when I post on Miiverse; however, when you view my profile you can see my Nintendo Network ID (“SuperNintenboy”).
I would add you as a friend, but I have to make a new Nintendo Network ID now. I just got off the phone with a Nintendo representative that stated my Nintendo Network ID is far too close to the word “Nintendo,” and he stated it would be best for me to correct the issue as soon as possible. They recommended to me that I change the account name. It’s not an easy process for me to fix it because it involves talking with customer service over the phone and working out a way for me to do this.
So far, the only people I got on Nintendo’s Customer Service Hotline have stated that the only way to change my Nintendo Network ID name is by manually adding a New User on my Wii U, not assigning it to my Nintendo Network ID, and deleting the account connected to my Nintendo Network ID (thusly losing all of save data and downloaded files in the process). If not, I can send in my Wii U to Nintendo—yeah, that’s not happening. I’ve experienced too many problems doing so with the Nintendo 3DS from before to let that ever happen again.
I’m going to have to end up formatting my entire system to fix the Nintendo Network ID problem.
I have to add you and Nintedward afterwards. :3
Hope that clears things up! :)
Yay … Well it’s Neilix then c: I can understand why Nintendo don’t want people to have something close to or is Nintendo related because you can get scam artist… You know them guys that pretend to be from the company to get info… Them ass holes >.>
Yup!
Nintendo stated to me it’s to maintain their corporate identity through Miiverse. It is why you also see real Nintendo accounts verified with a checkmark next to their Mii on Miiverse (lookup NintendoTezukaA yo see an example of this in action).
When I get around to signing up for a new account and start up my Miiverse, I will send you a friend request, Neilix. :3
I do get notified of friend requests right… Or is it like the friend code days when you had to add the friend codes on both systems? O:
Don’t worry! Your Friends List and/or Miiverse icons should be flashing if you receive any Friend Requests. :3
When you have friends registered, your HOME Button LED will blink blue on the Wii U GamePad when they are trying to call you for a Wii U Chat session or when a friend gets online with their Wii U console (though the LED won’t blink for friends logging on if they keep their status invisible from the Friends List application).
By tomorrow, I should have a new Nintendo Network ID all setup. I’ve just taken note of your name and will add you on Miiverse when I set it up! My Mii’s name will be Jonathan when you do see my Friend Request come in. :D
Why are these dudes thinking that just because Nintendo Power is closing, Nintendo Company will fall or something. douchebags!! Anyway it’s sad that Nintendo Power will be no more, but who knows, there may be a magazine of Nintendo coming in the future, a new beginning perhaps, maybe not as good as this one but hey Info is Info right.
I think there’s a chance we’ll see something like Nintendo Power (or even a comeback) in the coming year or so, as we are supposedly getting an e-Reader application for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Newsprint and packaged/print media is dying in the wake of a new digital era that has recently seen a significant boom in consumerism.
However, I do think that the magazine has faltered in the past few years. One simply cannot argue with the magazine ceasing production when we can find gaming news easily and before everyone else from Nintendo’s own services, such as Iwata Asks, Nintendo Direct, E3 coverage, demos, screenshots, trailers, and gameplay videos made available on the Nintendo eShop, etc. Not to forget, Nintendo Power is only monthly, and it can end up taking them 2 months to post information about content shown at E3 or a review about a new game before released to the general public/shipped to their subscribers.
This makes me sad. This magazine was so colorful, humorous, and convinced me to buy the No More Hero series. A true magazine for Nintendo fans. Hopefully the guys find jobs at other publications
I love the cover, so fitting for the final issue. It’s sad that this publication won’t be here for the Wii U. I hope the writers find work at other magazines/websites.
I shed a tear when I saw this.:(
im gonna miss nintendo power i have read your issues since February 2011
There should be an online application of nintendo power that could be available to both 3ds & Wii U! It would be awesome! seeing that magazines are dying due to online media & that way nintendo power would at least not die out completely.
Nintendo’s legacy will still live on.
A manly tear was just shed.
Its kind of sad. I have never gotten a single nintendo power issue, but It looks like a good magazine from what I’ve seen. I wish Nintendo would have let it keep going.
No!!!!!
sad…sad…
That was sad NES was first, Playstation was next, and XBOX was stupidly last HAHA
