“Super Ubi Land” Gets A Name Change

With the help of Maestro Interactive Games, Nintendo-licensed developer Notion Games is bringing 2D platformer Super Ubie Land to the Nintendo eShop on Wii U later this year. Although it previously called “Super Ubi Land,” the game was renamed due to requests from publisher Ubisoft, which is quite often referred to as Ubi.

  1. Anyways, I sure do keep getting surprised by all these indie titles coming to Wii U this year. I’m going to really need an external HDD soon. What an amazing console.

  2. To be fair, the first time I heard that name, I actually think in a Ubisoft theme park game ala Nintendo Land

    1. It’s understandable that it was changed. I wonder what’s up with that blue yoshi wearing the backwards hat lately on IOS or smartdroids or whatever.

    1. Might be because nobody calls them that ever and micro is also a word. Sounds like a game full of tiny shit.

  3. I only looked it up because I believed it was a game full of Ubisoft characters dont want to know bout the game now

  4. I’m really glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who at first thought this title was an Ubisoft Nintendoland. Also, great to see that they worked it out amicably between the two companies, with no expensive post facto suing and name-calling…
