In a bid to tease fans, SEGA have released a silhouette image of six new characters for the latest Sonic title. Revealed today on their Facebook page, the six characters could either be friends or enemies from Sonic Lost World, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. By all accounts, the characters will be detailed on May 29, and it will surely be featured heavily in the next Nintendo Direct scheduled for June 11. Here’s what SEGA had to say:
“Six will rise from the Lost World. Are they friends or foes? Find out on May 29th.”

Each is a boss of each part of the world, sea lava earth desert frost and forest.
And that’s what’s making me excited for this game! Although it could turn out shit , I have thoughts of greatness in my mind.

The character all the way to the left looks pretty awesome and I like the design of the 4th character (Going left to right) The others, I’ll probably wait until I actually see them. Sonic Lost World is definitely going to be pretty Awesome!

I really think we’re fine with the characters we have right now- hell, as long as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver are in it, I’m good.

Okay, Rouge too. And I’ll accept Big as long as there is NO fishing- if he plays like and is written like how he was for Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood, that’s okay. BUT NO FISHING STAGES
Make Big fight like he does in Sonic Heroes for the new Sonic game and have him as a guest character in a new Sega Bass Fishing game to keep all the fishing levels there. Problem solved.

My guess is each is the boss of 1 of the areas on the world behind them. 1 is the boss for the meadow area so forth.
I’m no expert on character design, but those look like enemies.

These characters look very interesting! The one in the middle (5th one) looks like he’s gonna be the boss of the lava world! And the big one (6th one) looks like he would in the dessert world since he kinda looks like he could be a yellow orange color! Very intrguing indeed!
I smell a gimmick. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into another secret rings game and more like Generations.

I’m going to go ahead and guess that these are all characters from the Mario universe that have been “Sonic-fied” (i.e. turned into anthropomorphic animals). If this is true, then it would make sense that the devil-looking one in the middle is Bowser (similar build and red coloring), the one 2nd to the left is Waluigi (similar build once again and purple outline; plus its tail reminds me a bit of Waluigi’s mustache), and the silhouette 2nd to the right is Wario (similar build, yellow outline, and if you look closely you can see a faint purple outline that resembles Wario’s overalls). That being said, I don’t have that great of knowledge about the Mario universe and can’t discern the other three characters. My bet would be Princess Peach or some other female Mario character is farthest to the left, the one closest to her is some magician from the series (Kame I think is the name of one from the series?), and I have absolutely no idea about the one furthest to the right.
These must be those “Guardians” they were talking about. I hope they are cool.
I can’t wait until we see more about this game! It better be some gameplay! Man I’m so excited for this game! I’ll likely get a Wii U this Christmas if they lower the price! Hopefully I’ll get lucky this year like last Chirstmas when I got a PS3!(would have got a Wii U if we had enough money)
