Nintendo Japan released a six-minute trailer for the long-awaited Pikmin 3 shortly after the Nintendo Direct which took place today. The video showcases the adorable Pikmin battling against their environment and strategically defeating the many foes that stand in their way. I see why this game was delayed from February to August. Im glad it was too. After all, Pikmin is just on its 3rd franchise compared to Halo 5 or is it 6? Anyway, between the two franchises Pikmin and Halo, which game shows more differance and innovation: Pikmin 3 evolved from Pikmin 1 0r Halo 3 from Halo 1?

This is my most anticipated game of this year. Not saying there aren’t any other great games, just goes to show how many people have been wanting this.

Besides the fact that this game looks absolutely beautiful, here are some interesting things.
1. Notice the color of the onion, and there’s only one!
2. The bombs around the end, perhaps an identification that yellow pikmin are using bombs once again.
3. Purple and rock pikmin will rape everything
Pikmin 3 does use the game to its advantage with wide view of whats going on to make more strategy based. Three captains are looking alot more easy to manage now, because it looks like u can pause the world to view whats going on everywhere i think pikmin 3 will be the best in the series

1) Wii 100 million consoles sold with the best games ever. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Xenoblade chronicles, The last Story and Pandoras tower.
2) PS3 77 million consoles sold with the last of us.
3) Xbox360 with fable ( lol ), halo 1,2,3 and halo 4 ( made by nintendo trained 343 ). This generation the competition is between :
1) Wii U, Power to invest in any engines resources, Unreal 4, CryEngine 3, Disruptor, Unity4 etc. With a high power capable Gamepad that has no latency in comparison to the Television. Nintendo delivering on software with Pikmin3, blowing out anything launching early on the competition in terms of first party software.
2) PS 4, DDR5 ram, better use of 6 of it’s eight cores purely for gaming. A camera (Kinect is done). It has better first party entries than xboxDone. Also releasing with the momentum the last of us has gangnered.

Do not avail them to simple basics of what true next generation is. The PS4 has grunt power, for what to display visuals in 1080P. The Wii U displays in 1080P as well. It will be PS4 FFXV versus the Wii Us X. The winner shall be the person that buys both consoles :).

This is the first Wii U game that makes me want to play on TV mode as much as off TV mode. It looks like the best experience with Pikmin 3 is needing 2 screens. Look at that Onion its all in one. Oh wait that’s Xbox’s slogan.

I have never played a Pikmin game before but It looks like an OK game, not really sure what all the hype is about though. I’ll probably buy it but thats only because there are no other games. I think it only has local multiplayer as well so its just a play and trade type of game for most people. I don’t know, maybe im wrong but I don’t even see myself completing this game, it looks very repetitive( especially if you are unable to play the multiplayer modes). Hopefully im wrong though(crosses fingers). I guess ill find out in August.
After watching it a second time, I kinda want it now. The music and that sound it makes when you toss a Pikmin makes me want to rip my ears off though, I hope the sound is not vital, so I can play this on mute.

my favorite pikmin so far are the rock type, they look ready to tear some shit up…I remember in the earlier installments hating losing any pikmin.Thats always tough. But this game seems to have enough variation to make me want to finish the game. I hope, because Im starved for a good game.

If you played the first 2 pikmin you will know it isn’t “sluggish, childish, or a boring strategy game”. This game is tougher than you will guess. The first one being the more strategy based one.(Due to time). If you want a good game for the Wii U, get this.

Pikmin 2 was pretty terrible. So I’m glad they’re going back to Pikmin 1, where you have a time limit, so it’s a REAL strategy game.
I liked the first one too more than the second. A lot of people like Pikmin 2 more than 1 because you “don’t feel rushed.” That’s what made the first so good. You had to work to meat your goal. Not do whatever you feel like doing and eventually finish the game.
I didn’t mind being rushed in the first one. I liked the fact that you could explore in the second game. Also the enemies are more challenging. Number 2 is far superior.
Pikmin 2 wasn’t “terrible”. Pikmin 2 is FAR superior to the first. It didn’t have that time limit but the enemies were tougher. I liked the fact that you could explore too. Sure the game didn’t have the time limit, but going as far as calling it terrible? No.
