The official Nintendo magazine has revealed that Nintendo personally asked the developers behind Stranger’s Wrath HD if they could bring the game to their latest home console, Wii U. Stranger’s Wrath HD was announced for Wii U back in June, but it’s interesting to hear that Nintendo were personally interested in the game appearing on their platform.
Not only did we hear that forgotten platform classic Abe’s Oddysee would be getting a remake, New ‘N’ Tasty, on Wii U eShop, we also then found out Nintendo had asked the developer for the HD remake of shooter sequel, Stranger’s Wrath, they were working on, too. We’re already belching loudly in anticipation.

More then likely GTA5 will come to Wii U like 6 months after launch…then again it still hasn’t been revealed for PC yet…so if it gets revealed for PC then Wii U should follow. Also remember that article from awhile back. GTA5 was running on Wii U earlier in its development. Regardless I don’t give a shit about GTA.

My thoughts exactly. I’m still praying like hard for GTA5 to happen on Wii U and if it does, screw every other game coming out later this year because GTA5 (revisiting San Andreas; my favorite GTA game) is all I need to be entertained until Mario Kart 8/Smash Bros. 4 releases. :)

How do you know Shadow of the Eternals isn’t coming to Wii U? They closed the KS for “restructuring” so they can relaunch the campaign, which probably means that a big publisher came to them with some type of offer. We should probably wait and see what happens when they relaunch the site for Shadow of the Eternals. Good chance that the talks with Nintendo they were having before the site was taken down, went well enough to maybe have either Nintendo fund it or some other company buy it out. It also means that MS or Sony could have purchased the rights to SotE as well… so let’s just wait and find out.

Nothing was bad about the game itself. A lot of people just seem to hate one of the people working on the game though, Denis Dyack or something like that.
The fact that it’s being directed by Denis Dyack, a man known for being a terrible leader.
Nintendo is the only reason why Eternal Darkness turned out good, contrary to any of Silicon Knights’ other games.
I will be buying this game for sure. Good call on this one, Nintendo!

So many factors need to be taken into account has how far in development and what tipe of help Nintendo is giving.
Now that is a good question…no matter how hopeless it seems for nintendo, they always have a trick or trumph card up their sleeve. I have a feeling we might see more of this action…its definitely a new turn on their side reguardless of what others think or say. To me, this was a smart move on nintendo’s side.

Well, I heard of it and wanted to play it, but no money so yeah…but from what I understand, think of old western with aliens…or the lone ranger with aliens.

Abe’s games are sidescroller puzzle stuffs. Very fun also. This game however is unique being a 3D action-adventure. The series is classic.
Nintendo have to bring me tons of games before Smash Bros. Bc when smash is out .. my 1vs1 match will be streamed live online for 2 years or more. I will have no more time for any other games.

Ninty should know better. No one wants to give them games on a console that’s performing worse than the vita.

Actually, it shows how despereate they are for 3rd party support.
I mean, having to ask personally for a game to appear on their console… That’s kinda sad, in my opinion. Just proves that 3rd party developers aren’t really interested in the WiiU, considering that the developers (in this case: Oddworld) were fully able to put their on the WiiU but just didn’t have any interest in doing it before being asked by Nintendo personally. Sad, sad.
Well, everyone has their options on how they see it. As I said before “nintendo always has tricks or trumph cards up their sleeves”. So I wouldn’t mark them down as sad, desperate, out etc…including haters.
But MS and SONY do the exact same thing…
Maybe Nintendo is desperate, and maybe WiiU is a sinking ship, but you can be sure of one thing, Nintendo works fucking strong under pressure. If anyone can resurrect a dying console, it’s Nintendo, because they actually give a shit about games AND gamers.
Yeah I’m super curious as to how Nintendo will turn this around. I mean they have to realize how much they have disappointed their consumers. I have a feeling things will turn around in 2014 and in 2015/2016 we will see some seriously good games coming out for the Wii U. I have a feeling that the next Zelda and Metroid are going to be really good and will push the envelope. Now if only Nintendo can deliver in terms of third party games and new IPs…………heck even some good exclusives besides first party software.
How about ask SEGA for a Puyo Pop game for the Wii U with everything from the Japan only games (online included) as well as eShop exclusive sequels to Chu Chu Rocket and Rhythm Thief?

Was Oddworld not an xboxone the original’s exclusive? Microsoft not seeing what they are losing out on with their unique game skipping their new xbox-uh! done. After release of their console at the same time as the PS4 shall they realise that now the one year headstart with the xbox360 was a fluke.
