Activision Talks Call Of Duty Ghosts Multiplayer

Call of Duty Ghosts Senior Executive Producer Marcus Iremonger has explained to MTV Multiplayer the changes that gamers can expect when they delve into the Call of Duty Ghost’s multiplayer mode when the game releases on November 5th. Iremonger takes time to explain the character based class system which is new to the franchise and also explains about the point reward system.

“Right away, it’s not even going to be in the game. It’s going to be when you’re setting your character up. And in the past, we’ve had a pretty good system – a great class system that we thought was pretty cool But we’re now taking that and we’re making a character-based one. So, defining your character straight away, naming your character. That character has six classes, six low-downs. So, you can go in and name each of those. And inside that, we’ve changed the way that the unlocks work. The unlocks now will be based on accumulated scored points – so as you play with each of your characters, your individual character will earn XP. Each time they earn a certain amount of XP, they’ll be gifted a score point and those score points you can then take in into your normal menu selections and you can choose.”

“So, if you build those up enough, rather than grabbing the first thing that comes along, you build up those points, you can pick something that’s probably a bit sweeter. It’s really about giving the player control. So, as well as giving them control over their unlocks, but also really changing the way they select perks, so they really liked the Pick 10 system with “Black Ops 2″ and Infinity Ward, being the main visual studios, they wanted to take their own design ideas to that. So what they’ve created is this system where we now have 35 perks. Those perks are going to be unlocked over time and then purchased with your points. So you can select, not just three as we’ve done in the past, we’ve had one of each classification – we have about six or seven classes of perks. And you can pick, as long as you can fit them into your allocated space, which is effectively eight slots, then you can pick whatever you want. So as long as you’ve unlocked them, you can pick them. So you can potentially pick one, what we call Deadeye, and that takes up five of your eight. So this is to sort of help to auto balance the game in some way.”

    1. Yes, MS is the only one that requires games to use their services.

But for PS3, Wii U would be a great match.
Wiimote and move could be used on either sides, so no bitching there.
And I doubt gamepad would make anyone more superior.

        1. With that, in my knowledge there is 2 games that allow it.
How many FPS games do you know that allow it?
It just seems MS wants to keep their own sandbox.

Sure, its not a problem to make it work, but MS is a bitch with its policies.

Final Fantasy 14 is not coming to Xbox consoles because of this.

They might make exception with Elder Scroll online, but as of now, only coming for PS4 besides PC.

        1. Move works actually quite well, its even more accurate than Wiimote, though not by much on point and shoot FPS games.
I’m a Wii U gamer, and that is unbiased opinion.
Move on PS3 with MAG, felt a lot better than CoD Blops 2 on Wii U wiimote plus
And Moves button placement is a lot better for shooters, in CoD, I have to unnaturally twist my thumb or move my hand to throw a grenade.

Even though it looks like a sex toy, camera + that glowing ball is actually quite good.

Sure it was a copy, but it was pretty well made copy.
Though it seems Sony is giving up on it.

  1. Sooo….Activision doesnt have anything on the eshop right? At with time does Nintendo usually update the eshop (I know it’s tomorrow)?
(nobody will find out that I somehow turned an off-topic question into a topic fitting form)

    1. Xbone sucks so much that COD makers and their other third party competition use N64 Mario schematics, plus golden w
Eye 64 to perfect their FPS cash cow. WiiU COD is the definitive version, due to gamepad 2 player, Wii-mote and nunchuck control and also pro-controller. Even without DLC, the WiiU version is the one to get, it’s also HD by the way :).

    1. Xbox360 does not suck dear lady, but the Xboxone is just atrocious. PS4WiiU for all your home console needs I say, if you can afford both. Though Pre-order the PS4, and buy WiiU games until Sony releases games worth buying for their DDR5 marvel. More like summer 2014.

        1. A true lady is always focused on true justice, questionable ladies are Michelle baukmann of the republicans and Nancy Pelosi of the democrats. They have lost a womans skill to seek goodness for all :).

  2. RESOLUTION AND SPEED OF DEPICTION :

    1) Dead rising 3 1080P 15-30fps xbone.
    2) Drive club PS4 1080P 30fps
    3) Pikmin 3, 720P 60fps
    4) Mario kart 8 [ 1080P/60fps].
    5) W101 [1080P-720P/60fps].
    6) X WiiU [ 1080P-720P/60fps] it’s a large large large not to be traded in game :).
    7) Killer instinct xbone 720P/60fps.
    8) Killzone second sone 1080P/60fps-30fps?

This is the next Generation my friends, which console you buy? Your wallets and game quality of replayability and trade value shall determine that.

    3DS though is a winner proven :).

      1. Bayonetta 2, I left out purposefully. There are a lot of former Xbox fans that need to buy a WiiU on merit, especially after Microsoft DRMed them. Sony fans will buy a WiiU because Mario 3D world is better than an knack, sack boy, rachet, killzone etc. Mario can be played over and over again. Replayability and quality, plus nintendo HARD! shall make believers of many :).

        1. I’ve never been able to get through a Mario game once, I just find it rather…. The best term I can come up with is unexciting. The games have never been able to really hook me and convince me to play all the way through.

          1. Likewise. The older versions kept me playing, but the new ones …. I just can’t even get past halfway without being bored anymore.

          1. Smart people learn from mistakes of others, stupid people wont learn even from their own mistakes.
And anyone who buys xbox, is a stupid person.

              1. I liked the later games. Not as good as the first, but I don’t see why people hated them so much. But then again I do seem to like a lot of games that don’t rate well XD

      1. I’ll be getting one, I want to play Fable also, and Titanfall, and Ryse, and oh boy, can’t wait for the other two next gen consoles.

              1. “I can’t wait to WASTE countless hours of my life playing it!”

                “Don’t forget money”

It’s pretty obvious what you were referring too …

  3. FIRST THINGS FIRST LOL @ FPS ON TWIN STICK PADS YOU CASUAL AUTO AIM QUICK SCOPE…CASUAL TWATS

TWIN STICK FPS IS A FUCKING ABOMINATION SIMPLE FACT ANY HUMANOID PLAYING FPS THAT WAY ALMOST A DECADE AFTER THE WII REMOTE HAS FUCKING FANBOY ISSUES

OBSOLETE CONTROLS ARRE OBSOLETE CONTROLS AND ONLY QUICK-SCOPE SCUM WHO CANNOT EXPRESS ACTUAL FPS SKILL PLAY THAT WAY

CASUAL GAMING FILTH try aiming you 12 year olds seriously

remove quick-scoping tune down MASSIVELY the auto aim balance the wii remote and silly downs syndrome twin stick settings

try putting both gamepad and wii remote sound effects in thats what speakers are for derp developers

i point and a i giggle at twin stick fps players i giggle harder when they try playing the CORE GAMER CARD

OF COURSE U ARE YOUR SO CORE AUTO AIMING AND QUICKSCOPING LITTLE XBOX KIDDYS

    1. Too bad there are no good FPS games worth buying a wii/wii U for. COD? Please, that game is not that great, Metroi Prime? Maybe, but with no forge mode and extensive level of customizability to the game modes, I don’t want it. I want replayability. So it looks like I’m sticking with analog sticks and Halo for the time being.

      1. Activision claim there is a lot more in the PS4 & X1 versions, but they’re using a dated engine with a few tweaks, so I don’t expect there to be many differences.

  4. SO I CAN PLAY WIIREOMTE AND CHUCK —-PRO Pad–GAMEPAD—CLAssic pad pro —

I CAN REMOTE PLAY EVEN WITH A WII REMOTE ON THE GAMEPAD SCREEN IF I CHOSE TO

I CAN HAVE ALL MANNER OF TACTILE AND SECOND VIEW POINT GOODIES VIA THE GAMEPAD SCREEN AND TOUCH

I CAN HAVE THE SAME ENGINES AS XBONE AND PS4

    VS

    A DUALSHOCK OR A XPAD

I CLEARLY SEE ONLY ONE COMPANY ACTUALLY MANUFACTORED A “””””NEXT GEN”””” SYSTEM

  5. Last year i got codblops2 for xbox, will deffo be going wii u this year even tho the game will cost more its worth if for the extra options with which pad to use, wonder how fast i can aim with the wii mote.
Zelda WW should last me till november if i take my time then ill have COD and donky kong to tie me over christmas, only hope mario kart and smash come early 2014 :)
