UK Chart: Pokemon X & Y Still Selling Well, Assassin’s Creed 4 Takes Top Spot

assassins_creed_4_pistolThis week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track, and it’s good news for pirates in Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag as they storm into the top spot. But just like Batman: Arkham Origins – which slips to number 5 this week – the Wii U version for the UK won’t be released until November 22, so we’ll see how it does in later weeks. But if you’re looking for Nintendo’s Wii Fit U sales figures, you won’t find them until its physical retail release on December 6 – so far, the game’s only a digital download.

As far as the rest of the all-formats charts go, Skylanders Swap Force, which is still selling well on the Nintendo Wii, settles for ninth place, Game Freak’s Pokemon X and Y places in at number 10 and 11, respectively, and Sonic Lost World slips down the chart to number 28.

The individual charts are topped by Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag, but Nintendo titles hold their own among multi-platform franchises. Luigi’s Mansion 2 for Nintendo 3DS is still hanging around the top 40 despite it being released back in March, possibly finding a boost in sales from Halloween. For those who want to check out the top 10 all-formats, you can do so below or, here. And you can view the individual charts, here.

    1. The Nut Sack Strikes Back

Ubisoft pushes Miyamoto’s balls into oncoming traffic. If he would release good hardware instead of saying, “Please understand.”

      1. How dare you insult Miyamoto. He is a video game designer, not a hardware engineer. Plus Wii U’s hardware is amazing.

      1. Uh gabriel no it isn’t. It’s part of the 8th generation console release date, 22nd November. Right now it’s only out for 7th gen.

    1. theres not really much to follow especially since they killed Desmond who has been a big part of the past games storyline

  1. yeah it was obvious that ac4 was going to sell great, its a big franchise and ac4 looks great, and looks fresh to the franchise……. i cant wait to see that it sold less than 2% on wii u though, hahahahahahaha at nintendo fanboys!!

so since the xbox is gone (always has better 3rd party miltiplats, deal with it) ….. is the ps3 version better or is the vacuum cleaner a better version.

      1. Weren’t you saying in that article that visuals/resolution don’t matter. Lol what a hypocrite. And either way the Wii U version looks almost exactly the same to the 7 year old last Gen ps3/360.
