In the in the hardcore didn’t care for the vgx its being ripped on all over the internet, and gamers said this was the highlight…thats when u know crap was bad. Its a miss but fans should not have expected zelda since it was confirmed to be shown at E3. They were going to only going to show a demo there at small studio. it had to be short and simple, so it had to be DK.
Personaly the vgx or vga was losing views over the years why do u think it was streamed, wonder what they are going to do next year…They won’t have the budget for a studio…. VGX ARWARDS APPARTMENT!!!!

smash still has a way too go, its better to show something more close to release then something that won’t come till probably fall 2014. actually according to data wii u is close to selling another 1 million units from oct to nov time. Plus smash is something sakurai has shown a lot of. Smash has four tailers so far and over 100s of screen shots, i think smash is good. X would have been cool, or bayonetta. Not saying it was good announcement for DK, bought I think its best for nintendo to stick with nintendo direct or E3. I was surprised they even went to the vgx knowing how god awful it became and how low budget everything was.

With the amount of people that have internet access plus the amount of gamers in those areas I wouldn’t say it was made up. MAYBE exaggerated a little but bottom line is that ALOT of people were viewing and its an event for hardcore gamers not little kids so announcing cranky was just epic fail that won’t bring the hardcore in for example me, im not even going to consider buying one now after that joke.

You talking as if VGX has as many followers as E3. 4 billion at VGX seriously? Why waste a good as AAA there when Nintendo Directs are wavy better? Besides would you be excited if it was unveiled at VGX then E3? You would just say, “Why didn’t Nintendo show something new at E3?”
Who cares Nintendo Directs are wayyyy better. Showing a Zelda at a VGX would have been dumb. I want my best games to be u veiled at places worth it. Bayonatta 2 and X and Starfox or Metroid needs to be unveiled at somewhere more interesting where the media are really at. Those games are too good for that.

I heard the nintendo direct last month, got more views then vgx. And i agree with u its better to show those games somewhere much more presentable, and with better respect then that ward show. They didn’t even deserve DK, hell even wii fit u wouldn’t show its face there

While I think the DK reveal of cranky kong was dumb, I don’t think Smash would have been the most ideal choice for the announcement. Certainly it is better than DKTF, but I would have gone with announcing more details about X, along with a new trailer. The only reason I say this is because most of the hardcore audience knows about smash at this point, while not as many know about X and therefore would be better to bring such a game to their attention instead.

I’m glad you guys liked 3D World, and I’m glad it apparently rocked unique game play from the NSMB.
I’m glad most of you went from “Nintendo should do something important!” to “I’m glad they didn’t waste Metroid on the VGA.”
I ended up not buying 3D world (due to no online play as I don’t really enjoy Mario games by myself anymore) and After playing DK on my 3DS, I’ve had my fill of the Ape Platformer. So no tropical freeze for me.
Connecting the dots, Nintendo consoles are not targeted to me anymore. Since PS and xBox have underwelming next-gen libraries, there’s really nothing for me to do but play my 3DS, and..OMG, start tending to hobbies that are NOT gaming related…
Thanks Cranky, for the laugh, and Thanks Nintendo for giving me a chunk of my life back. WiiU will get games I want someday, so I’ll keep the system and binge-game when they release.
Hell, I may turn my PC on for the first time in 2 years. I have been one obsessed gamer, time for some sunshine! (My 3DS will keep me broke-into gaming.) And I’ll play a few rounds of Mass Effect 3 now and again.
