Maybe not to you, but I say “Happy Holidays” out of respect for all the other Holidays people celebrate. To me, it’s shorthand. It’s MUCH easier than acknowledging every holiday. Three King’s Day, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Christmas, New Year’s… Happy Holidays is just much easier.
Plus, if I peeve off the Glenn Beckistan’s/Bill O’Liellies of the world by showing respect towards my fellow man, well, that’s just a bonus.
