Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc Filed Possible Pokemon Related Trademark

The internet sleuths over at Siliconera have noticed that Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc, have filed a trademark for something called Phantom Gate. The trademark was filed in late December 2013. The trademark belongs to the aforementioned companies listed above so it sounds as though it could be Pokemon related. The publication says it could be linked to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.

            1. ot realyl
Rare’s case was that it wasnt owned the mayority with Nintendo
Lets say 49%, and M$ bought the other 51%, making it owned in mayority by M$
Gamefreak’s different, as the Nintendo holds the mayority and thus can decide

              1. ^Exactly! I dont get why everyone thinks that Pokemon could be the next Rare?!! They all own 1/3 of pokemon and Nintendo owns the majority in every other company. There is ZERO chance pokemon will ever be on another system against nintendo. Even if a competitor bought out the existing minority share. It simply wouldnt matter.

    1. Back to the Topic, This news, for some reason, reminds me of Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. If Its a PMD, I hope its as good as the ones before infitiny gate.

      1. They do not have to have much in common with the game, other than Pokémon themself. There are many ways to go, and mostly they could make epic, real-life Pokémon battles! Sure it will be a risk, but with the right story writers, director(s) and budget, it has great potential!

      1. Oh yeah, I love this trailer…except for the horrible CG, not so much the quality but their art direction, the horror

      2. While not exactly something like this, Ninyendo could use some great CGI, amd there would be no need to follow the “crappy” story lines from the games.

    1. I’d be okay with an expansion on GtI if they just fixed all the gameplay problems, added an original story, and put in the personality test, but that’s just wishful thinking. It might also be DLC so who knows.

    2. It SHOULD be Pokemon Snap and Stadium! I seriously dont get why this isnt a reality yet… it cant be THAT hard to produce these games….

      1. Although I agree with you, I know they won’t make one at this time, they need to invest in things that make them huge profit. That (along with F-Zero, Fox,) will not do, for now.

  1. Probably another barely good “Mystery Dungeon” Pokemon game…

I don’t know what’s so great about those games, specially the latest one…

    Such snoozefests…

    1. I bought the first one for the ds. I thought it would be great because it was a pokemon game. I was wrong. I was bored after the first dungeon. The cool parts were that the pokemon could talk and you could catch many legendaries.

  2. Anything that isnt pokemon snap, stadium or handheld pokemon in any color, mineral or alphabet letter dont bother me. Because I dont cause trouble and I dont bother nobody.

  3. Goddamn Gamefreak needs to make a REAL Pokemon game for the Wii U or at LEAST something like Stadium/Battle Revolution so I can see my X and Y Poke’s (and all my other Pokes…) in HD!!!!!!!

  4. I’d be okay with an expansion on GtI if they just fixed all the gameplay problems, added an original story,…….! and put in the personality test, but that’s just wishful thinking. It might also be DLC so who knows….!!!

  5. Man, Pokémon feels like such yesterday’s news. I’m completely sick of it for the most part. And I’ve only played through one Pokémon game (Diamond). It’s hard to believe that it’s still so popular after all these years of basically the same thing over and over and over. Though I still like Pikachu.

  6. Yes, Nintendo Sage, I also think it’s hard to believe people buy games like COD on a yearly basis, since you’re just paying for new maps and weapons, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
