Nintendo has unveiled it will be showing off five of its hottest games at WonderCon later this week. Budding Mario Kart 8 racers will be able to get their heart rates pumping with playable tracks at the event, while both Nintendo 3DS gems Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Mario Golf: World Tour will be playable before release as well. The annual convention will take place in Anaheim, California, between April 18 and 20. Below is a list of the Nintendo games playable at WonderCon.
- Mario Kart 8 for Wii U, launching May 30
- Mario Golf: World Tour for Nintendo 3DS, launching May 2
- Kirby: Triple Deluxe for Nintendo 3DS, launching May 2
- Yoshi’s New Island for Nintendo 3DS, available now
- Disney Magical World for Nintendo 3DS, available now

Mario Kart 8 is AMAZING, Kirby and Golf are good, but ‘Yoshi’s New Island’ and ‘Disney Magical World’? Not really in the calcification of one of the ‘hottest’ games.

Agreed, this only gives us less hope on the future of the Wii U if you can only show us 1 Wii U game and it is one we have been seeing for over a year…..COME ON NINTENDO!!! We need new games or the Wii U will be doomed…:(

Agree to an extent, 3 good games a year just isn’t going to cut it…at least give us some more VC games or something, where are the n64. DS, and gamecube games, what happened to dual gamepad support, E3 better blow my mind…Dragon Quest X would be a great start!
Exactly what I came here to say. The Wii U needs more and more games, and all they keep doing is show one single game every event. Even if you don’t have anything ready to show in press conferences at least show some of the earlier launches. Heck, go to a press conference with demos for Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Mario Kart 8, ZombiU, Zelda Wind Waker HD, Nintendo Land, SM3DW, DKCTP, Rayman Legends, Need For Speed and Bayonetta 2! I would like to see anyone saying Nintendo didn’t own whatever press conference they have after that!

Long gone is the old Nintendo that made all sorts of different types of games for different type of gamers. When they had variety, when they had Rare and the rest of awesome western 2nd party studios. But the bright ones in charge sold all those 2nd party studios years ago. Now they even put the one western studio they have left, Retro, to work on toddler games like Donkey Kong TF. With Iwata in charge Nintendo has become the baby toy games company. Don’t worry though, Iwata will save the Baby U with his “new” QOL and “non wearable devices” approach lolololol.

Wth so many special events like this (and all comic cons etc.) taking place at the same overall locations across the US, there’s SO many people who has never had the chance to attend any of them (like myself). They probably have the exact same people attending all the time.
