Though it’s slipped several places since the special Mario Kart Nintendo Direct, the game seems to be holding up well on the Amazon pre-order charts in the UK, US and Japan, amongst others.

Super Mario 3D World was also, sadly it doesn’t mean anything being number one on Amazon, obviously, as it was the worst selling Mario game to date. It didn’t really move any Wii U’s either.
So I am not going to jump the gun and assume the same just because Mario Kart 8 is up there as well.
