Steel Diver: Sub Wars Version 2.0 Update Arrives This Month

Nintendo director Takaya Imamura has revealed that the Version 2.0 update for Steel Diver: Sub Wars will be released later this month. The upcoming patch will add several tweaks to the first-person action game, including enhancements made to Internet Battle mode, and it will also introduce a new multiplayer stage. Steel Diver is available as a free download on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.

“In Version 2.0, in Internet Battle mode, you will now also earn bonuses for consecutive victories in Matched Skills Battles,” Imamura said on Miiverse. “Additionally, owners of the Premium Version will have access to a larger arsenal of subs as they level up, and more subs will be made available for purchase in the Online Shop within the game.

“We also received a lot of feedback via Miiverse about players attacking their allies. In Version 2.0, players who torpedo their allies will receive a warning message on their screen, and points will be deducted for every hit. We’re also planning to add a new multiplayer stage, and to continue to fine-tune the submarine stats, among other things.”

    1. I really recommend that Kirby game. I just got it last Saturday, I thought it’d just be horrible since I hated the new Yoshi game but this one is just so fun and it has several modes to play. For some reason it kinda makes me feel like I’m playing Kirby Crystal Shards which is a game I loved a lot. The only thing that it lacks is online multiplayer which would be soooo fun when you play the Kirby Fighters mode.

      1. I wish it had online multiplayer for that mode. It would be a good build up to SSB4. But all in all, the gameplay looks very unique. It’s not just your typical sidescroller. They’ve added many new elements to it.

New Island just looked very bland and the music was not good. I mean, it was ok for a Yoshi game but nothing new was added to it. Might as well just play Yoshi’s Island DS. It’s almost the same thing.

  1. One of the best games of the year. I personally love this game, i thought fps wasnt my cup of tea until i played this one
