Tilmen from Nintendomination has produced a video showcasing the Japanese Mario Kart 8 commercials. As expected they are kind of wacky, but they’re seriously entertaining. Mario Kart 8 launches exclusively on the Wii U on May 30th.

I’ll point out a flaw of having the 7 fellas playing together. You won’t be able to do that locally and it shows all the banter that will be missing because there’s no voicechat in game online.
i can imagine the “banter” actually being kind of annoying if it comes out of the speakers
There will be voice chat online, but only with friends
You can see multiple gamepads, so there are obviously multiple screens and wiiu, there playing online locally
They’re playing online locally. And you can voice chat among friends only matches, so it’s not showing anything you couldn’t do.
Kind of silly but still sends the message…

My Wii U is broken and can’t read discs anymore!
Thank God I have a warranty, and hopefully it’ll be fixed by the time Mario Kart 8 comes out.
I’m sad because I don’t have anybody to play this game with when I buy it (unless of course I play online. But that’s not the same.)
