Nintendo of America will kick-start its designated handheld Play Nintendo Tour in Los Angeles this weekend. Fans of all ages will be able to play a selection of the latest games on the Nintendo 2DS in a gigantic video game playground. The free event will initially kick off on June 6 at Westfield Culver City, 6000 Sepulveda Blvd, California, and then travel to an additional 12 U.S cities over a three-month period.
Playable games at the event include Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Yoshi’s New Island, Pokemon X and Y, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Super Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Mario Kart 7. But the fun doesn’t stop with the games as Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Kirby will all be on hand to greet fans in their costumed flesh.
Among the themed gaming zones with banana and egg-shaped seats, guests can race against others in the designated Mario Kart 7 booth. And for those who win their races, they will be able to showcase their racing skills in Mario Kart 8 on a giant HD TV screen. The Play Nintendo Event will take place between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on June 6 and 7, and between 12 and 6 p.m. on June 8. You can find more information on the Play Nintendo Tour, here.
