Cave Story 3D Seeing Re-Release Via The Nintendo 3DS eShop

Developer Nicalis has confirmed that Cave Story 3D is on its way to the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS. Initially released as a physical title in 2011, the side-scrolling platformer will eventually be sold as a digital download through the handheld’s online marketplace. The game is a 3D version of the 2D original Cave Story, which is already available in the Nintendo eShop.

  1. I LOVE CaveStory+. One of my favorite games. Is Cave Story 3D worth it? Even if I already have +?

    1. Cave story plus has more things than this version. In this game you get more health packs but if you like the 3d style they do, then maybe its worth it.

      1. YA i really want this game but if its 40$ i wont. I think ill go for it if its like 20$ but 15 or under is a buy for me.

    2. depends… it adds new easter eggs… 4 new sections weaved in using level designed embellished upon from the beta version of the game, you lose bonus modes like wind fortress and nemesis challenge… also no curly mode…

  2. Aww, I thought it was going to say a release on the Wii U eshop. But hey, I’m always hearing great things about Cave Story, I’ll be picking it up.
