This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart Track. Mario Kart 8 sticks firmly to the individual top 5, moving down into fourth as its overtaken by Watch Dogs on the Xbox 360. The popular Nintendo racing title is, however, a non-mover in the all-formats chart coming up in second place as it fights off tough competition from Square Enix’s Murdered: Soul Suspect, which is only 400 units behind according to UKIE.
Nintendo’s controversial title Tomodachi Life for the 3DS and 2DS systems – which we reviewed and gave a solid 7 – has entered into the top 20, placing at 15. Given the World Cup kick off later this week, the quirky life simulation title is sandwiched between FIFA games, but is the only 3DS game to place in the top 40 this week. Mario Kart 8 is still holding on, but I have to say, people are sheep when they buy Watch_Dogs… that game is nothing more than an overhyped crapfest. I had it for Xbox One and boy did it suck… wish I never bought it.

Word of mouth for Watch Dogs has been mixed, though. I don’t think it’s a great game, but there must be enough people convincing their friends that it is.
Why do Nintendo sites post so many UK charts? We get it, they don’t buy Nintendo. They only seem to care about AAA games full of hype, shooters, and Fifa.

Haven’t touched my ps4 much since MK8 got released, now Nintendo just has to keep the momentum going,release downloadable content such as extra race tracks, extra vehicles bikes ect and extra characters and new items. To keep the title st top 10 until Hyrule Warriors and Smash get released.

MK8 vs Watchdogs makes no sense imo. not only are they two different things, but sales are based on install base. if Nintendo also released MK8 on Wii and/or DS we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
Watchdogs is still taking the win as expected. Although, I have to say that it looks to be more fun than Mario Kart, but the key part is that I’m only purchasing one of those games…and it’s going to be Mario Kart!
